Colorado Beer News 110612

Colorado Beer NewsToday is Election Day 2012. Today we vote for one of the most important offices in the nation. We decide who will be the President of the United States for the next four years. Please be sure to exercise your legal right to vote today. Every vote counts! Here in Colorado, a swing state, we could decide who will run our country. Let your voice be heard! It's also the Denver Nuggets home opener for the 2012-2013 season. Go Nuggets! Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Tuesday, November 6th, 2012.

The Very Nice Brewing Co (Nederland) - Nederland's newest brewery have now expanded their business hours. They are now open on Sundays from 11:00am to 6:00pm, in addition to their Fridays and Saturdays 3:00pm to 9:00pm. They now have a flat screen TV mounted and are now open for Sunday game days. Four regular brews on tap along with rotating seasonals and the occasional "Crazy Local" brews.

Coopersmith's Pub & Brewing (Fort Collins) - No matter who wins the election today, you win tomorrow with Coopersmith's 23rd Anniversary specials. Somebody is going to win Free Beer for a Year! That's worth stopping in for. Located at: #5 Old Town Square in Fort Collins, CO.

Parry's Pizzeria & Bar (Highlands Ranch) - Parry's Pizza is planning some great events in November that you won't want to miss. On Friday, November 9th it's Fort Collins Brewery Pint Night from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Reps from FCB will be on hand to talk beer and hand out pint glasses when you buy one of their beers. Their Double Chocolate Stout will be there! Then on Friday, November 16th, it's Odell Brewing Pint Night from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Keep their pint glass when you order an Odell brew. Odell will be bringing Haven & Hale Peach Ale as well. Every night Parry's has 50 craft beers on draft. Located at: 9567 S. University Blvd, in Highlands Ranch, CO.

New Belgium Brewing (Fort Collins) - Apparently New Belgium's new test batch system is starting to pay off. Fresh off the news wires are approvals for three new beer names from the TTB. Look for these beers to either be bottled or available in draft only versions in the coming months: New Belgium Saison du Poivre Ale (pepper saison), New Belgium Vanilla Porter, and New Belgium Muddy Pig Belgian Ale. No word on when these will be available at this time. The Muddy Pig may be referring to a pub named The Muddy Pig in Minnesota that holds an annual Belgian Beer Fest. Let the speculation begin!

Yak & Yeti Brewpub (Arvada) - Love hoppy beers with a twist? How about this one. On Wednesday, November 7th at 4pm, Yak & Yeti will be tapping their Belgo-IPA. It's an India Pale Ale made with a Belgian yeast strain that gives this brew a foreign twist. Limited quantities - stop in for a taste.

At several locations state wide, wearing that little sticker will get you either discounts on beer, a free beer or happy hour prices all day long.
