Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Friday, November 9th, 2012.

Strange Brewing Company (Denver) - Speaking of chaos, the name Strange Brewing Company is under attack from another company in Massachusetts who is try to block the Denver brewery from using their name. Strange Brew Beer & Wine Making Supplies of Marlboro, MA apparently has a trademark on the name Strange Brew in regards to beer and their lawyers have notified Strange Brewing that they need to change their business name. That's not going over too well as you can expect. Strange Brewing is trying to work with this lawyer to come up with a compromise or alternate solution that would allow them to keep their current name, but so far, the Massachusetts company isn't budging on protecting their claim. Will this mean a name change is pending at Strange Brewing Company is imminent? The brewery may end up just changed their name to just "Strange". High Hops Brewery (Windsor) - Did you know that every Wednesday is Firkin Hump Day at High Hops? Every Wednesday, they'll be tapping a new firkin. In additional, you'll also find a food vendor stationed on site every Wednesday as well to pair with your beer. High Hops will also be hosting live music on Fridays. Coming up: Chainstation Mountain Music on November 16th 6-8pm, Grant McIntosh & Sharon Glassman on November 30th 6-8pm, and Ash Ganley on December 7th from 6-8pm. Don't forget - Happy Hour 3-4:30pm weekdays with $1 off pints.  Ladies Night on Sunday with 1/2 price pints for the gals.

AC Golden Brewing Co (Golden) - Winterfest, a rich, creamy Vienna-style lager, celebrates its 26th year as a holiday seasonal beer this year. One of the nation's oldest seasonals, Winterfest is on shelf now in Colorado only. Brewed by AC Golden Brewing Company in a very small quantity, each bottle is individually numbered. The bottle also sports a special neck label marking the beer’s 26th year. Coloradans looking for this year’s Winterfest will find it as long as supplies last in bars and restaurants in 12-ounce bottles and in liquor stores in 6-packs. Winterfest pairs well with many different foods, and is also good on its own, sipped from the bottle or a glass.

Twisted Pine Brewing Co (Boulder) - Beer and Yoga together? Believe it. This Saturday, November 10th from 10:30am to 12:00pm, you can get an hour of yoga instruction and a beer afterwards for $20 (if purchased in advance). The cost will be $25 if purchased at the door. Elevate Yoga and beer blogger BeerSnobChick will be sponsoring BrewAsanas. This class will be led by Adrienne of Elevate Yoga. The BeerSnobChick will then host the beer drinking after yoga. Odell Brewing Co (Fort Collins) - Don't forget that this Saturday, November 10th from 4-6pm, Odell Brewing will be hosting a release party for their Friek, an oak barrel-aged Lambic style brew made with tart cherries. Live music and food will also be on hand during the release party. Bottles will also be available for purchase to take home.

Hops & Pie (Denver) - Along with their regular food specials today, they also will have the following beers on tap tonight: Devotion from Lost Abbey, Racer 10 from Bear Republic, and on hand pull they have Dry Dock's Coffee Milk Stout. That and 20 other rotating craft beers on draft.

Denver Beer Co (Denver) - Come by the brewery tonight for an exclusive preview party of Art of Winter 2013 at 7:00pm. Denver's snow-inspired festival of arts, ideas and innovation featuring Colorado artists and a selection of their works created on recycled snowboards and skis. Denver Beer, Renegade and Strange Brewing will be introduced as new gallery partners in 2013. Have a brew and check out a preview of this year's Art of Winter.

The Fort Collins Brewery (Ft. Collins) - It's here! Their winter seasonal Big Shot Seasonal Ale has returned for another year. This winter warmer is now available in bomber bottles at local stores and on tap in the FCB Tasting Room. It'll be cold this weekend, better bundle up and stock up on Big Shot.

Kokopelli Beer Co (Westminster) - Their new 10 barrel brew house system is due to be delivered by December 21st, 2012 all the way from Pennsylvania. Once that arrives and they are able to install it that'll be one more big hurdle down towards an eventual opening.

Oskar Blues (Lyons) - Have you made your plans to attend their 10th CANniversary party yet? On Saturday, November 17th up at Oskar Blues Grill & Brew they'll be throwing a big party to celebrate the 10th anniversary of canning their beer. The party starts at 6:30pm. Admission is free, but if you plan to stay for the White Buffalo concert afterwards it's $15. Plenty of good food, beer and free live music in the meantime. Their infamous Silent disco will also be in swing.

Arvada Beer Co (Arvada) - Tonight at 5pm they will bring back the Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. 9.7% ABV. Full bodied and full of flavor. No Growler Fills on this one however. Served in snifters. Come get some before it is gone for the year. Should make it until Sunday or so. Happy hour until 7pm, $1 off snifters and pints!
