Metro Denver / Boulder Breweries

Asher Brewing Co (Boulder) - This Saturday they're celebrating Asher Brewing Co.'s 3 year Anniversary! Come and enjoy the festivities. McDevitt Taco Supply will be there serving delicious food from about 2-8pm, The Wandering Natives will be playing at 6pm and the brewery will be open from 12pm-12am with ridiculously awesome Asher beer flowing from the taps the whole time! It's a great way to spend your Saturday!

Del Norte Brewing (Denver) - Could this be a sign of things to come? Jonathan Shikes over at Westword is reporting today that Del Norte Brewing has apparently ceased operations as a brewery and may have already sold the majority of their brewing equipment. Even their Facebook page is now gone. Del Norte Brewing specialized in making Mexican-style beers such as Cinco, Orale,El Guapo, Manana Amber Lager and Luminaria Bock. If the rumors are true, it would be the 1st brewery in Denver to close in 4 years.

Twisted Pine Brewing (Boulder) - On Wednesday, December 5th from 7:00pm to 8:30pm Twisted Pine presents their Northstar Imperial Porter Vertical Tasting event. Just one week left to grab your tickets to this year's Award-winning Northstar Imperial Porter Vertical Tasting. Join them as they serve Northstar from 2004 to its new 2012 release, while enjoying small bites and an engaging talk by Twisted Pine's Bob Baile.

Brewery Rickoli (Wheat Ridge) - Don't forget! Tomorrow, November 28th at 4:00pm is the opening of the new Brewery Rickoli. Plenty of great beer will be on tap at 4335 Wadsworth in Wheat Ridge, CO. Expected beers include a Cream ale, an IPA, a Red ale, a Scotch ale, a Rye stout, a Double IPA and a Black IPA. They also make their own sodas too! Snacks will also be available in the tasting room. Yak & Yeti Brewpub (Arvada) - Have you ever wondered how some brewers came up with one of their best beers? Adam, the brewer at Yak & Yeti, wrote a nice blog article about how their JalapeƱo Lena beer came to be. Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them to. Bull & Bush Pub & Brewery (Denver) - After 4 long months of having no kitchen, the Bull & Bush is finally fully open again! They initially closed down their kitchen for 4 weeks to do some remodeling, but that soon turned into a multi-month ordeal. But the end result is that they have a ton of new equipment and infrastructure and both the food and beers are flowing once again. If you've missed your Bull & Bush food fix - now's the time to return and see what's new! Located at: 4700 Cherry Creek Drive South in Denver, CO.

Homeless Gear DriveOdell Brewing Co (Fort Collins) - Odell is hosting a Homeless Gear Drive through December 10th, 2012. Check out the attached poster to see which items are in need and bring in 1 or more of these. (Click to enlarge) If you donate, you'll qualify to win a sweet Odell Brewing prize! Homeless Gear is a program of the United Way of Larimer County. REI in Fort Collins also has a donation bin.

Grimm Brothers Brewhouse (Loveland) - Hey Mug Clubbers! It's time to Re-Up! The New Year is almost here. It's time to renew your Grimm Brothers Brewhouse Mug Club Membership. Renew by December 20 and lock in the current price of $65/year. The 2013 Membership is limited to 75 Grimm fans. Dues for 2013 are $75. What do you get for this? A big 22 oz Mug of Grimm Brothers Beer for the price of a pint. Current Mug Club Members get priority. You can renew your membership at the 2012 Rate of $65.00 if you renew by December 20, 2012.

Colorado State University (Fort Collins) - Ever wanted to get a college degree in a brewing science? You might just get your chance. CSU is proposing to offer a new degree in Fermentation Science as early as the fall of 2013. Their Food Science and Human Nutrition Department came up with the idea because fermentation has become a popular topic, especially in Northern Colorado. 9News in Denver did a short story about this (see video below). Also, The Coloradoan newspaper also featured an article about this last week.

Colorado Springs Breweries

Bristol Brewing Co (Colorado Springs) - Stop by tonight for Bristol's Karma Hour from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. $1 from every pint sold will benefit the Empty Stocking Fund, which provides resources for 15 local health and human service agencies in the Pikes Peak region.

Mountains and West Breweries

Bonfire Brewing (Eagle) - Helping for the Holidays is happening from now through December 1st. Bring in: canned goods, diapers, peanut butter, crackers, baby formula, non-perishable food items, toiletries, etc and donate them at the box in their tap room. When you do, you'll get a free beer in return. These items will be distributed through the Vail Valley Salvation Army.

Bars & Restaurants Statewide

Parry's Pizza (Highlands Ranch) - On Tuesday, December 4th from 6pm to 7pm, Parry's will be having a special guest from a local brewery come to their bar for a "beer education" night, of sorts, for women only. There will be tastings and explanations of the beers and an open forum for all of the ladies to enjoy. This is a great way to understand in more depth about the beers you like and don't like. You guys can hang out in the bar and check out the 50 beers on tap while you wait for them to finish.
