New Belgium's Lost in the WoodsSour beer fans take note. New Belgium Brewing is hosting a party to celebrate their sour beer program at the start of February and you're all invited to get tickets. Here's a press release announcing an event to help you get "Lost in the Woods".

New Belgium Brewing to Host “Lost in the Woods” – A Sour Soiree

2013 La Folie Launch Party Includes Live Music, Food Pairings and Sour Goodness

[PRESS RELEASE] Ft. Collins, Colo. – January 21, 2013 – On Friday, February 1, New Belgium Brewing will host a soiree that is sure to end on a sour note. The first annual “Lost in the Woods” sour soiree celebrates New Belgium’s passion for sour beers, highlighting the brewery’s expanded wood cellar and the third collaboration with Frank Boon for the latest version of Transatlantique Kriek, a sour cherry beer. Boon, founder of Boon Brewery in Lembeek, Belgium, is a world-renowned sour beer expert.

The party will also feature the premiere of New Belgium’s 2013 version of La Folie, the award-winning sour brown that launched New Belgium’s wood beer program back in 1997. Attendees will enjoy beer and food pairings as well as live music from Mamma Lenny and the Remedy. The event will include presentations by New Belgium’s own sour impresarios, including a session on blending with brewmaster Peter Bouckaert, and feature wood beer specialists Lauren Salazar and Eric Salazar. On-site blending during the event will create a one-time only sensory experience.

Cost: Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at or at the brewery. Tickets include food pairings and a take-home bomber.
