Colorado Beer NewsToday is Fun At Work Day. It's celebrated on the last Friday of January and is a day to lighten things up a bit around the workplace. Do something today to create a bit of fun around your job today and get your weekend off to a happier start. Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Friday, January 25th, 2013.

Metro Denver

Brewery Rickoli (Wheat Ridge) - The brewer is busy creating a new Bourbon Peach Strong Ale today. It's based on an Amber Old Ale recipe mixed with Colorado peaches and aged in a Wild Turkey barrel. This brew will need several months to age and will debut sometime in the Fall. Stay tuned for word when this will be tapped. Also on tap tonight - Rickoli's Ugly American E.S.B. 8.25% ABV, 37 IBU's.

Arvada Beer Company (Arvada) - Join the Colorado Craft Beer Show, AM 760 Denver, tomorrow at Arvada Beer Co at 5600 Old Wads from 12-2pm for a live broadcast with giveaways, great brews and always that awesome community feel they provide. Turk and the Gubna will also be talking with Mike and Jeff from Fate Brewing Co.! Come on out and join 'em!

Rockyard Brewing Co (Castle Rock) - This week's Deviation beer taps at 4pm is a blend of a wheat ale and a mead. Sure to please any sweet tooth! The paired app, a jalapeño pepper stuffed with a chicken & cornbread mix wrapped in jalapeño bacon, serves as a great contrast! Always something new each week on tap at Rockyard.

Cannonball Creek Brewing (Golden) - Golden's newest brewery will be open from 3pm to close this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Food will be available from Worldwide Vittles on Friday and Saturday from 4-8pm on-site.

Boulder County

Left Hand Brewing (Longmont) - The brewery announced today that they will be bringing back an old favorite soon - Twin Sisters Double IPA. The sisters are back! Look for them on shelves soon.

J Wells Brewery (Boulder) - The new J Wells Brewery is stocked up on beer and will be pouring this weekend. They've got some Hop Haze IPA, Chocolate Milk Stout and Jamie's Pale Ale on tap waiting for you.

Bootstrap Brewing (Niwot) - PARTY ALERT! Bootstrap will be tapping their Skittish Ale today and throwing a Burn's supper starting at 6pm complete with haggis, neeps and tatties. Live music by Indigent Row. Plus, A FREE PINT if you're wearing kilts or tartans. Slainte!

Northern Colorado

Big Beaver Brewing (Loveland) - Patrons of Big Beaver know that Fridays mean 1 thing - FREE BEER FRIDAY! They have a 1/6th barrel of a special brew each week that they give away - one pint at a time til it's gone. This week they're giving out free pints of Stroke-A-Strip Saison. It's being rationed out starting now. Get there soon!

High Hops Brewery (Windsor) - High Hops has the pleasure of hosting Sharon Glassman and Grant McIntosh again tonight from 6-8pm with BEDROCK BBQ serving some delicious food! They've also tapped Dr.Pat's Double IPA #3 last night and word has it that it is pretty good! "It is the best smelling beer I have ever had" - Quoted Nick! But don't take Nick's word for it - try one for yourself and see.

Crabtree Brewing (Greeley) - Crabtree knows how hard it can be to be a teacher, that's why every Friday at the taproom they offer all teachers $3 pints. Stop in after school and unwind after a tough week. And if you aren't a teacher, stop in for the best beer in Greeley anyway!

Southern Front Range

Trinity Pappy LegbaTrinity Brewing Company (Colorado Springs) - New Brew alert! Trinity plans to put the 2013 Pappy on Tappy tonight at 5:00pm - Woohoo! Get some.

Bars, Restaurants and Misc.

West End Tavern (Boulder) - Book your seats now to The West End Tavern's Annual Valentine's Day Beer Lover's Dinner! February 14th at 6pm. They will feature rare beers from Left Hand Brewing Company. 5 courses and 5 beers. Mr. Bubba Love will be their gracious host for the evening and the food from Chef Chris won't let you down. Cost is $65/person. Call 303.444.3535 now. Spots are filling up!

Parry's Pizzeria & Bar (Highlands Ranch) - Don't forget, Parry's will be tapping a bunch of Dry Dock Brewing Company beers tomorrow, January 26th from 11am to 10pm, at Parry's Pizza in Highlands Ranch and Castle Rock. This will be Dry Dock Brewing Company's first tap takeover with Parry's and probably won't be the last!

Lowry Beer Garden (Denver) - Did you know: Kicking a keg is now a good thing! If you are the one to kick one of their kegs (last pour that is), they will reward you with prizes like t-shirts, gift certificates, and more beer! With 16 taps, your odds are pretty good!
