BRU Handbuilt Ales (Boulder) - From their recent Press Release - 2013 looks to be an exciting year for BRU handbuilt ales. The year kicked off with Draft Magazine releasing their list of “2013 Breweries to Watch,” which included BRU along with five other breweries across the country that they’re “keeping an eye on.” Beer Chef / Founder Ian Clark was delighted with the news; “I feel very honored and honesty just ecstatic. Given our small size I never expected to be included. It is really exciting and I’m so happy that people are enjoying the BRU.” Ian Clark is also proud to announce the release of his third handbuilt ale, Beezel. Beezel, a Belgian Style Golden Ale handbuilt with honey, black pepper, and bitter orange peel joins Citrum and Obitus in the BRU lineup. This crisp, effervescent Belgian Style Golden Ale is a perfect example of Ian’s culinary skills at work. The bitter orange peel and black pepper create a delicious depth that builds on the fruity and spicy flavors in the Belgian yeast strain while he honey adds complexity.
