Featuring over 80 different strong beers (beers greater than 8% ABV) from some of the best breweries across the country, with many beers that are not otherwise available in the State of Colorado. Join Eric Gorski, a founding contributor of The Post's First Drafts beer blog, as he moderates a Q-and-A session about the Colorado craft brewing industry. He'll speak with Kevin Delange of Dry Dock Brewing, Brad Lincoln of Funkwerks and Chad Yakobson of the Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project. Every ticketholder will get a free sample of beer from each of the featured breweries. Beer also will be for sale. Participants must be 21 or older. This annual event celebrates putting Granpa Bredo on ice to one day find a way to bring him back to life. For a town like Nederland that thrives on the colorful, the offbeat, and the weird, Frozen Dead Guy Days is a fitting way to end the short days of winter and head into the melting snows of spring. Meaderies and mead drinkers: The Mazer Cup is doing a public pour this year at the competition - the Mead Mixer! The event will be on Friday night at A Spice of Life in Boulder, featuring commercial meads from around the world - they're shooting for 72 meads! They will have two sessions: VIP from 7-8:30 featuring meads paired with gourmet munchies designed to complement the meads, and second general session from 8:30-10:00. Now, there’s no historical evidence that suggests the Irish invented the sing-a-long, but ask any Irish person and they will convince you of it, beyond a shadow of a doubt. With live music on board featuring traditional Irish pub songs, you can pretend you’re in Dublin, put your arm around the person next to you and sway along – in traditional sing-a-long fashion. They'll be tapping several barrel-aged Colorado brews including: Great Divide Bourbon Barrel Aged Hibernation, Renegade Brewing's Bourbon Barrel Aged Cherub Rock, Oskar Blues' Bourbon Barrel Aged Ten Fidy, River North's Bourbon Barrel Aged Avarice, and Odell Brewing's Bourbon Barrel Aged Mountain Standard & Lugene Blend. The Colorado Brewers Guild & Falling Rock Tap House invite you to the Opening Event of the Inaugural Colorado Craft Beer Week. The Event will be a Takeover of the Falling Rock's Taps by Breweries from all over Colorado. They've asked Colorado's Brewers to send in a wide variety of their best offerings & they've responded with quite a list. The Event runs from 7pm - 11pm & the Falling Rock will be closed for this ticketed event. The ticket gets you entrance into the Falling Rock & 3oz samples of the beers they've assembled for the night. It's also a big 80's party. So far over 22 of the 46 breweries that have opened since January 1, 2011 are participating.
