Colorado Beer News 020513

Colorado Beer NewsThe work week is still young, but it's another unseasonably warm day here in Colorado. The breweries all all busy stocking up for the coming weekend and you can still find some mid-week specials going on. Never too early to start planning for the weekend! Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Tuesday, February 5th, 2013.

Metro Denver

Copper Kettle Brewing Co (Denver) - This Wednesday, February 6th from 3:00pm to 9:00pm, CKBC will be tapping a special firkin. Wednesday's firkin will be a Dark Belgian Strong Ale with Crystallized Ginger. Stop in for a pint. Something different from the firkin every Wednesday. Also today, $1 of each pint sold will go towards helping the Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue Group.

Vine Street Pub & Brewery (Denver) - Stout Month continues at all 3 Mountain Sun locations. Today at the Vine Street Pub at 11:00am they will be tapping a Bourbon Barrel-aged Addiction Coffee Stout. Great Divide Brewing Co (Denver) - Recently, Great Divide was given several honors from RateBeer.com including the #12 Best Brewers in the World, Top Brewer in Colorado and a Top 50 Beer in the World for their Espresso Oak Aged Yeti. Also, join GDBC in the Tap Room on Thursday, February 14th for a special Valentine's Day treat. They'll be pouring an extremely-rare, Jim Beam bourbon barrel aged version of their Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti. This is the most elusive Yeti yet, and it's only available in the Tap Room. Great Divide is also now offering a variety 12-pack called "The Big Show" - 12 bold, flavorful beers all above 7% ABV. Look for it where their beers are sold.

TRVE Brewing (Denver) - Being popular is usually a good thing. The fans turned out in mass recently for their First Friday turnout last week and put them in a rough spot in their beer stocks. So, in order to catch up, they will be closed this Wednesday and Thursday (2/6 - 2/7). By Friday, they'll have some fresh Tunnel of Trees and perhaps some Atma if we're lucky.

Boulder County
