New Belgium (Ft. Collins) continues its imaginative exploration of IPAs with its latest release - Rampant Imperial IPA. Rampant brings a happily bitter beer to New Belgium’s year-round portfolio, which also includes Ranger IPA and Shift. A burly Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosiac and Calypso hops bring stonefruit, while the addition of Centennial hops nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The beer presents heavy peach tones with a profoundly bitter bite. Coming year-round this Spring. “Imperial IPAs take hoppy beers to the next level,” said New Belgium Assistant Brewmaster Grady Hull. “Rampant packs a powerful wallop but it’s got the malt bill to back it up.”

Echo Brewing Company (Frederick) - Trivia and a Food Truck! This Tuesday is trivia night at the brewery. Sip some brew, test your mental knowledge and get some fresh food from the Orange Crunch. Trivia starts at 7pm and the food truck will be on hand between 5pm and 8pm. Then on Wednesday, they'll be hosting a Beer Dish Potluck at 7pm. No charge - bring your favoite beer inspired dish to share in the taproom. Then come back on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for live music starting at 7pm each night.

Verboten Brewing (Loveland) - Verboten will be open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting this week. To celebrate, enjoy $1 off pints from 3 to 6 p.m. this Tuesday and Wednesday! Sorry, their Imperial IPA won't be ready, however, for a couple more days. It's coming soon!

Colorado No Bottle No Can Beerfest - From the forums over at BeerAdvocate.com - Libations Wine & Spirits in Foxfield, CO is putting together a beer fest featuring local Colorado breweries sometime between late April and early May with proceeds going to the Colorado Brewers Guild. The catch is that they cannot distribute cans or bottles of their beer. Libations figures this would be a good way for these small breweries to get their names out and allow people to try some of their awesome beer without having to drive all over the state. Stay tuned for news on this upcoming festival.
