[PRESS RELEASE] Golden, CO - March 22, 2013 - AC Golden Brewing Company, brewer of Colorado Native lager, has released 100 cases of its Apricot sour ale for sale.

Made with fresh, whole, handpicked apricots from Palisade, Colo., it is a pale base ale which allows the apricot color, aroma and flavor to shine through. Apricot was aged in oak wine barrels with apricots added during the aging process.

The sour is available in 750 ml bottles at select Front Range (Colo.) area liquor stores. Each bottle is individually numbered.

Apricot is part of AC Golden's Hidden Barrel Collection, which highlights the brewer's passion for experimenting in a variety of production methods.

Brewer's Notes: "We used fresh, whole, hand-picked apricots from an orchard in Palisade, Colorado to make this beer. You will notice the pale base ale allows just a bit of color from the apricots to show, but the apricots really shine in the aroma and flavor of the ale. A huge apricot aroma prepares your palate for the tart acidity from the apricots and souring organisms we used in the oak barrel. We bottle conditioned our Apricot with Brettanomyces for yet another layer of complexity. We hope you will enjoy it."
