Metro Denver

Yak & Yeti Brewpub (Arvada) - There's two new beers coming out this week at Yak & Yeti. The first is their Vanilla Porter, a 5.2% ABV 32 IBU brew made with real Madagascar vanilla beans. This brew debuted on March 6th. The second brew is their Carrot Cake Dessert Ale, a big 7.1% ABV and 24 IBU beer. This was a KROC club collaboration with Porter Royer and has over 12 pounds of carrots per barrel as well as lactose, vanilla and spices. This brew taps on Saturday, March 9th at 4pm. Stop in for a taste, stay for lunch or dinner as well. Always something new on tap at the Yak & Yeti.

Strange Brewing Co (Denver) - This Sunday, March 10th from 2-6pm Strange is hosting Sunday Funday with Love Hope Strength Foundation. Stop in for a beer and to Get On The List to learn more about Love Hope Strength - a music-centric cancer charity. Listen to some local music from Brent Loveday of Reno Divorce. Food will be available from Good Food Denver's food truck. More info at

Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project (Denver) - Bottle of their new Vieille Artisanal Saison have been bottled and are ready to hit store shelves. Look for this beer wherever Crooked Stave beers are sold very soon!

Great Divide Brewing Co (Denver) - April is looking to be a busy beer release month for Great Divide. Get ready to taste some of these brews: 19th Anniversary Wood-Aged Ale - made with birch syrup and aged on birch wood, Heyday Belgian White Ale, and Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Rumor has it that in July 2013, Great Divide will be releasing a brand new kind of Yeti. Stay tuned! Also, GDBC just completed a new expansion project that installed five new 300-barrel fermenters. Soon there will be plenty more beer to go around!

Boulder County

Twisted Pine Brewing (Boulder) - Twisted Pine Brewing Company added three new states to its distribution base last year and plans to welcome four more territories in 2013. Iowa is first on that list and the Hawkeye State received its first shipment of Twisted ales earlier this week. In addition to Twisted Pine staples like Hoppy Boy IPA, Raspberry Wheat and Billy’s Chilies, Iowans will find the brewery’s multiple-award-winning Big Shot Espresso Stout on shelves alongside Ghost Face Killah, the spiciest beer in the world. Draft options for Hoppy Boy and Honey Brown will also be immediately available throughout Iowa, with a greater variety of keg shipments forthcoming as Twisted Pine’s presence in the state grows.

Northern Colorado

Patricks Irish Pub - Greeley COPatrick's Irish Pub (Greeley) - Firestone Walker is coming to Greeley this April! There will be a Firestone Walker Tap Takeover at Patrick's Irish Pub on Friday, April 26th at 6:30pm til close. 10 taps will be dedicated to Firestone Walker beers including their Anniversary 16 and Parabola beers. A takeover not to be missed! Located at: 909 8th Avenue in Greeley, CO.

Funkwerks (Fort Collins) - Earlier this week during the Post Beer Night, Funkwerks announced that they recently acquired a lease on a space behind their current building that they eventually plan to relocate the entire brewery into. Funkwerks also plans to expand their distribution into Nebraska. This distribution expansion to Nebraska and other states will happen sometime over the next few years. Also, Funkwerks just released a new beer in their taproom - Saison d'Brett. This brew is an updated version of last year's Brett Dream. It's fermented with their house Saison strain and Brettanomyces, a wild yeast.

Loveland Aleworks (Loveland) - This Friday, Loveland Aleworks is tapping a new beer. American Sour Ale with Raspberries (7.2% ABV). This beer was brewed with Marris Otter ale malt, malted wheat, acidulated malt and continental hops. They added raspberry puree directly to the fermenter and like magic it turned out for the best. Stop in for a taste before the big snow hits this weekend.

City Star Brewing (Berthoud) - Two new beers hit the taps today at City Start. 1) Vanilla Bandit, and 2) Oak Aged Cowboy's Golden. Get Happy Hour prices ALL DAY today. Later tonight, live music from Jami Lunde. Enjoy the patio weather outside before the big snow hits this weekend!

Southern Front Range

Trinity Ten Minutes of PleasureTrinity Brewing (Colorado Springs) - Collaborations seem to be a growing trend in the craft beer industry. Recently Trinity Brewing and New Belgium Brewing got together to brew up a beer called "Ten Minutes of Pleasure", a Berliner Weisse. The TTB just gave label approval for this beer. Look for it to be released sometime in the near future. The label describes it as: "This Berliner Weisse is raw and crude with authenticity, brewed with over 50% wheat malts, this recipe is never boiled to encourage development of a soft sourness and notable high protein mouth feel. To the kettle we added Soursop fruit crating notes of lemon and coconut. Fermentation is a blended one, imploring Lactobacillus, Bretta, and a German ale yeast. Aged on French oak barrels. The beer will be bottled by Trinity Brewing Company.

Bristol Brewing Company (Colorado Springs) - One week from today, on March 14th at 5:00pm, Bristol Brewing will release their Smokebrush Porter. There will be a release party that day that runs from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. This beer was brewed in honor of the Smokebrush Museum/Art Gallery in Colorado Springs. 100% of the profits from this beer will go to support Smokebrush's Creative Community Efforts, like the Uncle Wilber Fountain.

Mountains and West

Kannah Creek Brewing Co (Grand Junction) - There's a new event happening at Kannah Creek that will help you Western Slopers celebrate Colorado Craft Beer Week. On Sunday, March 24th from 2pm to 6pm (or until the beer runs out) gather for the Western Colorado Craft Beer Celebration. Around 10 regional CO craft breweries will each be bringing some of their specialty or seasonal beers. The cost is $10 for unlimited samples. Weather permitting, it will be held on their outdoor patio at Kannah Creek Brewing Company. All proceeds will be donated to the CO Brewers Guild. Tickets available at the door. Food available at an extra charge. Also, stop in on Monday, March 11th at 5pm for a firkin tapping of their Snowmelt - English Springtime Beer.

Bonfire Brewing (Eagle) - During the upcoming Colorado Craft Beer Week (CCBW), Bonfire Brewing plans to release 5 new beers on tap. March 17 - Fire Bush Irish Red, March 18 - Karate Hop Hoppy Brown, March 21 - Jack Daniels Barrel Aged Baltic Porter, March 22 - BOOM! Double IPA, and March 23 - Rye Pils. Check out all of their CCBW events in their newsletter release.

Silverton Brewery (Silverton) - The Silverton Brewery family recently lost a family member to breast cancer. Some time in the future, they plan to hold a "Beer for Boobies" event to support the fight against breast cancer. Please - take care of yourselves ladies!

Breckenridge Colorado Craft (Denver) - Betcha didn't know - There's FREE trivia every Thursday at 7:30pm in LoDo. There are three rounds, wine one and win a pitcher of beer. Win it all and win a $50 gift certificate!

World of Beer (Cherry Creek) - Want a sneak peek at the new World of Beer opening in Cherry Creek?
