Colorado Beer News 032013

Colorado Beer NewsToday is the First Day of Spring. Hurray, we made it out of Winter, but Coloradoans know that March and April are still the most snowiest months of the year. Still, our thoughts now turn to days with more hours of daylight and slightly warmer days ahead. Let's hope we get plenty of moisture this Spring so that our reservoirs will get filled and the fire danger will be lessened. Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Wednesday, March 20th, 2013.

Metro Denver

Yak & Yeti Restaurant & Brewpub (Arvada) - Sad news. The La Bhutan is already gone. The good news is that next week they will be releasing a new Abbey-style beer. Brahmin Dubbel Knowledge (7.8% ABV 14 IBU) is an amber colored, spicy brew with hints of dark fruits. it's made with 25 pounds of homemade medium-amber Belgian candy syrup. You can still get some of their Chocolate Frosting Stout (5.1% ABV 28 IBU) on tap. Get in quick while it lasts. Here's something to try - The "Ch-apple" - it's a beer mix with their Chai Milk Stout and their Gluten-free Apple Ale. It's more spicy and tart than a traditional Black Velvet style beer mix. It's only $5.50 normally and just $4.00 during happy hour. Come get some!
