Colorado Brews debuts on Rocky Mountain PBS

Colorado Brews - TV ShowBringing a new show to television isn't always easy or quick to do. What started as a summer project in 2012 is finally coming to the small screen tonight. Charles Nuckolls produced a half hour show entitled "Colorado Brews" and it debuts tonight, April 6th 2013 on Rocky Mountain PBS (Channel 6 Denver) at 9:30pm MDT.

The show is hosted by Ed Sealover, author of Mountain Brews, and a reporter for the Denver Business Journal. Ed is joined by several Colorado cast members including several local beer bloggers, a chef and a homebrewing expert. This episode focuses on one of the breweries in Colorado. The first brewery to be featured is Crabtree Brewing Company of Greeley, Colorado. Owners Jeff & Stephanie Crabtree are highlighted along with members of their staff as well as a local homebrewing club Treehouse Brewers who meets at Crabtree Brewing.

If the premiere episode does well in the ratings for Rocky Mountain PBS then the show could be picked up for a 13 episode run later this year. Rocky Mountain PBS will be looking for feedback on the show. On Twitter, you should send a message to @rmpbs and use the hashtag #coloradobrews and give them your thoughts on the show. The more feedback the show can get the better chances for the show to be turned into a series.

The show would then travel across the state and visit different craft breweries each week and highlight brewers, their brewhouses, festivals, beer events, beer tech, homebrewing, cooking with beer and more. But in order for this to happen they need as many viewers to tune in as possible and send in your feedback.

So after the after the college basketball semi-final games are done tonight, tune in to your local Rocky Mountain PBS station at 9:30pm and watch Colorado Brews. It'll help spread the good word about our state and our craft beer economy.
