Colorado Beer NewsToday is Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Day. It's the 73rd annual start of the week-long Sturgis motorcycle rally set in Sturgis, South Dakota. Bikers from all over the world make the long journey to gather by the thousands in the tiny town of Sturgis. If you happen to see a big group of bikers on the road this week, give them a salute and wish them safe journeys to and from the rally this week. Metro Denver

Prost Brewing (Denver) - It's their 1st anniversary this month and Prost Brewing is planning a week-long celebration to mark the occasion. From August 19th to the 25th, there will be beer specials, food trucks, beer releases, live music and more. And on Friday the 23rd (the actual anniversary) they will have a release party and sneak preview of their Marzen beer. Head to their Facebook page for all the details. Also, stop in tonight for Monday 2-fo-1 growler fills and get double punches on your Growler card.

Epic Brewing Co (Denver) - Want to work at a Denver brewery? Epic Brewing Company is now accepting applications for beer tenders to work in their upcoming new tap room. Check out their job postings at: www.epicbrewing.com/news-and-events/item/751-denver-tap-room-is-hiring - The taproom is scheduled to open in late-September of this year and will be open 7 days a week as early as 12 noon and as late as midnight on some nights.

Lowry Beer Garden (Denver) - Love beer and like to play poker? Stop in tonight at Lowry Beer Garden for Poker Night. Playing poker is free. Top 3 finishers will win a $30, $20, and $10 bar tab. Sign-ups start at 7pm.

Yak & Yeti Restaurant & Brewery (Arvada) - This Wednesday, August 7th, buy one wheat beer, get one free for their "Wheat Wednesdays". Also they'll have a newly tapped keg of their Raspberry Wheat available at 4PM on Aug 7th.

Front Range Brewing Co (Lafayette) - There's one more summer ale coming out from Front Range Brewing this season and it will be tapped Thursday, August 8th - Westy Blonde. It's an American Blonde that's described as "light and creamy". This brew will finish out their summer line-up. They're putting it into kegs starting today. Also, Front Range Brewing is now open on Mondays from 3-9pm! They will be brewing up more IPA starting on Tuesday.

Oskar Blues (Longmont/Lyons) - Tickets are now officially on sale for the Oskar Blues Ordeal taking place during GABF week! Let O.B. show you what they're all about as they give you a behind-the-scenes tour of all of their Colorado locations. Funkwerks (Ft. Collins) - Distribution for Funkwerks has expanded. Today they loaded up their first trucks that are heading to Arizona. They will be holding launch events in Arizona starting next week. Also, they will be releasing a new beer this Thursday, August 8th in the Funkwerks taproom! "Farmhouse" is a dry saison brewed with Australian Summer hops, a new-to-Funkwerks hop variety that provides light apricot and melon fruit notes.

Crabtree Brewing (Greeley) - Did you get hail damage from that storm on Saturday? Crabtree Brewing can help you relieve some of the stress from that with $3 pints today. Come share your story with the tap room crew. They'll sympathize with you.

Southern Front Range

Bristol Brewing (Colorado Springs) - New beer alert! Bristol Brewing's Cheyenne Cañon Piñon Nut Brown Ale is almost here. The release party is on Saturday, Aug. 17th at 5pm. Proceeds from this beer benefits the Friends of Cheyenne Canon.

Mountains and West

Pagosa Brewing Co (Pagosa Springs) - Their newest batch of branded Mug Club mugs just arrived and you can sign up now for an annual or weekly membership. Members get a 20oz mug for a pint price plus a member t-shirt and more. Same price as the last 7 years: $40 for an annual membership and $25 for a weekly. Kannah Creek Brewing (Grand Junction) - Tonight for their Firkin Fundraiser for Mesa County Partners, they'll be tapping a firkin of Lavender Hefeweizen at 5pm. Stop in to help out a good cause and quench your thirst at the same time.

Ska Brewing (Durango) - Ska's new outdoor restaurant made from shipping containers is officially open starting today! It's located (permanently) outside in their beer garden. They'll be serving up gourmet brick-oven pizzas, salads, sandwiches, snacks and desserts plus kid options too. Grab a brew inside, then bring it outside and pair it with some tasty food from The Container Restaurant.
