Colorado Beer News 080813

Colorado Beer NewsToday is Dollar Day. Back on this date in 1786, the Continental Congress of the United States authorized the issuance of the US Dollar. Back then, a dollar could buy you a lot. Today, you can't buy much for a dollar. Instead, a dollar is usually mentioned as something you can get off as a discount. Times have changed. Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Thursday, August 8th, 2013. If you aren't reading this article on, you don't know what you're missing.

Beer Drinkers Guide to Colorado (Map) - It's here! The 7th Edition of the Beer Drinker's Guide to Colorado Map and Passport coupon book has been released. The map is filled with valuable information that will help you locate each of the 224+ brewing operations in the state, as well as state parks and ski areas in Colorado. The map also comes bundled with a Passport to Free Beer coupon book that contains around $300 worth of free beer and beer related discounts from 52 locations statewide. The coupon book alone pays for the map many times over, particularly if you enjoy traveling around to breweries on a regular basis. To preview the map, check out Look for the map on sale at several taprooms across the state.

Beer Distribution (Front Range) - Starting in September, Texas brewery Saint Arnold Brewing Company will begin distributing their craft beer to the Front Range area of Colorado. There will be music, food, beer, root beer, games, a silent auction and more! Also, today marks another Outlaw Tap beer. This week it's McKenna's StrIPA - a strawberry IPA.
