Metro Denver

Yak & Yeti Brewpub (Arvada) - There's a new beer pouring at Yak & Yeti in Arvada today. It's called "Brown Rice and Honey Ale 2013". They took a traditional Northern English Brown Ale and added some traditional Indian-cuisine ingredients like brown rice and honey and produced a tasty fall seasonal. This brew weighs in at 5.9% ABV and 26 IBUs. Here's how brewer Adam Draeger described it: "The honey lends a flowery note from the clover honey and the brown rice adds a little earthy spiciness. Chocolate and Crystal malts bring the darkness and roastiness to the beer, the honey and rice actually dry out the beer so it isn't too sweet and it has one late addition of Fuggles hops, traditional in English Brown Ales." - It taps today at 4pm. Also, on Friday, October 4th they will release an Oktoberfest lagerbier at 4pm. Get some!

Wits' End Brewing Co (Denver) - During GABF week, Wit's End will have special taproom hours for the week of October 7th. Monday - Thursday 2-8pm, and Friday & Saturday 12-8pm. They will have special tappings throughout the week, including some of our rare beers like Green Goliath, The Mad King, The Fresh Prince and others! Check out their Facebook page for updates.
