Metro Denver

Falling Rock Tap House (Denver) - GABF may be over, but the fests at Falling Rock continue. This Saturday, October 19th from 12pm to 5pm is the Falling Rock Fresh Hop Fest featuring over 25+ fresh hop beers from Colorado and beyond. The 8th Annual Falling Rock Fresh Hop Fest is basically your dream farmers' market! They'll replace all the crunchy organic kale infused granola in super sustainable jars with beer! Falling Rock Tap House will host beers brewed using un-kilned fresh hops. In many cases, these hops were added to the brew within 24 hours of being picked from the vine - hence the farmers' market angle. Wit's End Brewing (Denver) - According to the Denver Post article yesterday, Wit's End just obtained financing that will help them expand into a full 7-barrel brewing system up from today's 1 barrel system. With this system, they plan to brew more beers and become more involved in distribution. Plus, they plan to expand their taproom hours to 7 days a week. Look for this to happen around Spring 2014.

Diebolt Brewing Co (Denver) - Did you happen to catch Diebolt Brewing serving at last night's Save The Ales event? It was their first time participating in a beer festival. Look for them to participate in even more in the future. Diebolt opened in August of this year at 3855 Mariposa Street.

Colorado Craft Beer Show (AM 760 Denver) - This Saturday, John Turk and company will be out doing their live radio show at Oskar Blues Home Made Liquids & Solids' 4th Anniversary Party at HMLS in Longmont. Listen in from 12pm to 2pm on AM 760 or stream it via the web.

Black Shirt Brewing (Denver) - It's been a crazy busy week over at Black Shirt Brewing. They just got in a ton of new equipment and are planning to expand operations and have greater distribution. Even new beers in the works including more barrel-aging. Here's a couple pics from last week.


Parry's Pizzeria & Bar (Highlands Ranch) - Firestone Walker Brewing Co. will be at the Highlands Ranch location in full force, this Saturday, October 19th. Winners of GABF's best mid-size brewery of 2013 - this brewery is creating some stupendous beer. They'll be tapping 805, Parabola, Sucaba, Velvet Merkin, Double DBA & Pale 31. #AleYeah

World of Beer (Cherry Creek) - This weekend is WOBtoberfest at World of Beer. They'll have many breweries sponsoring this event along with endless amounts of craft beer, live music, food and fun competitions. It’s this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday so best be seeing you there! All attendees will receive a Loyalty Card, a WOBtoberfest shirt, a one-liter mug and a lot of neat swag from breweries, so don’t miss out on this. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at WOB or online.

Dad & Dude's Breweria (Aurora) - Tonight's beers on tap include: Rough Draft Pale Ale, Fathom Amber Ale, Prickly in Pink, Watermelon Basil Wheat, & Peach Saison. It's also Karaoke Night starting at 10pm. Ladies Day drink specials all day as well.

That Brewery on Zuni (Denver) - Strange Brewing is still pouring 14 beers on tap this weekend. For all of their gluten intolerant followers, they've brought back the Gluten Free Cherry Kriek. CKrepes will be at the brewery tonight. Their Special: bleu cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers with a panko breading and tempura fried. 4 poppers for 8$

Boulder County

Very Nice Brewing (Nederland) - Come join in on Saturday, October 19th for a tapping of "Freshie" their fresh hopped ale. Made with hops from the "Hops Inn", located across the street from the Carousel of Happiness. With the aid of some Very Nice volunteers, they picked the hops, crossed the street, and threw them in the awaiting boil. Gotta love a freshie! And $1 from each pint sold will be donated to "Rebuild Jamestown". Doors open at 12 noon this Saturday.

West Flanders Brewing (Boulder) - Next time you visit West Flanders for a beer be sure to try some food off their completely revamped food menu. West Flanders has a new Head Chef - Tony Hessel. Chef TOny is a long-time staple in the Boulder restaurant scene who lead the development and success of The Mediterranean and Brasserie Ten Ten. He's got some great food pairings for your next beer. Check it out soon.

Boulder Beer Co (Boulder) - Set your calendars to attend the very limited release of Boulder Beer's "The Dud's Bane" on Saturday, November 16th at 3pm. It's a bourbon barrel-aged Barleywine that has been conditioning in the barrel for 1 full year. They will be selling hand numbered, hand-dipped in wax and extremely limited bottles in their pub. Better plan to be there if you want to get a bottle. The brew weighs in at 12.3% ABV and comes in 22oz bombers.

Northern Colorado

High Hops Brewery (Windsor) - Stop in today for High Hops' Hoppy Stout Release. This is their 2nd year making a Hoppy Stout and this year's batch is even better than ever. It's also Open Mike Night - sign up and show off your talent. Food from Chaulkboard Gourmet Express on hand tonight as well. Also, don't forget their 1st anniversary celebration this Friday and Saturday October 18th and 19th all day. There will be live music, food, games, beer, prizes and more. During that event, they will donate $1 from every pint purchased to Colorado Flood Relief.

Crow Hop Brewing CoCrow Hop Brewing Company (Loveland) - Loveland is about to get another new brewery. This Saturday, October 19th starting at 12 Noon is the official opening of Crow Hop Brewing Company. They are located at 217 East 3rd Street in downtown Loveland. They plan to have 4 beers on tap for their opening including: Window Screen Wheat, Nooner IPA, Sleeping Owl Stout and Rado's Red. Stop in and check out Loveland's 7th brewery (8 if you include hard cider). They've already had their beers on tap at various Loveland locations since the 1st week of October. They are just 3 blocks from Loveland Aleworks.

Wiley Roots Brewing (Greeley) - It's the brewmaster Kyle's 30th birthday today and everyone is invited to celebrate with $4.00 flagship pints starting at 4:00pm. They'll have 80's music playing and a dessert will be served. Come try his GABF Bronze medal winning Super 77 Wheat beer too. Plus, they have a special Imperial Pumpkin beer on tap (not included in the flagship group). Come wish Kyle a happy 30th birthday.

Funkwerks (Ft. Collins) - Weekend suggestion: This Saturday night, October 19th, Funkwerks will be participating on the special "Beer & Brats Train" on the Georgetown Loop Railroad. The train will depart from the Silver Plume Depot at 6pm and guests will be offered a cosmopolitan meal of bratwurst, bread, sauerkraut, and potatoes served with a variety of local microbrew beers, including Funkwerks. Tickets are $36.95 per person.

Equinox Brewing (Ft. Collins) - In the spirit of Halloween, they just tapped a firkin of Candy Corn Eclipse Brown Ale today. And yes, you can even pair it with candy corn.

Pateros Creek Brewing (Ft. Collins) - Today's Outlaw tap is "Trippel Pitch 5.11a", billed as a light and fruity ale with a sweet alcohol finish that blends with the banana and clove notes..

Southern Front Range

Trinity Brewing Co (Colorado Springs) - Tonight at 5pm is an All Pumpkin Beer tapping. There will be several pumpkin beers for you to try. Come get your Pumpkin on in the tap room. The event runs until 8:30pm tonight. Then tomorrow, Trinity will release "Farmhouse Walloon", a Belgian-style Saison at 5pm. This beer was made with pumpkins, squashes and other "secret" ingredients.

Bristol Brewing Co (Colorado Springs) - For anyone who pre-ordered their bottles of Venetucci Pumpkin Ale, pick-ups start today, Oct. 17th and run through Nov. 30th. Just a few #IGotMine shirts are left. There are just a few bottles left unsold - stop in first come first served.

Smiling Toad Brewery (Colorado Springs) - Hurry in - they still have some Pumpkin Pi left on tap. Not only that, but you can also try their Irish Ale, Jumbe Porter, Dear Abbey Road, and IPA Freely. Coming soon, a Cocoa Stout brewed with either coconut or chilis depending on which ingredient gets the most votes on Facebook.

Mountains and West

Dillon Dam Brewery (Dillon) - Tonight is "Girl's Night Out" at Dillon Dam Brewery. Ladies get FREE 1/2 pints between 9-11pm, and $2.75 pints for the guys from 9:30pm to close. Heading up to Breckenridge for an extended weekend today? Be sure to stop off at the Quandary Grille in Breckenridge for the "Science of Beer Dinner" tonight at 5:30pm. Brewmaster Cory Forster will be showcasing Dillon Dam beer at this fundraiser dinner benefiting the Keystone Science School. Cost for this 4-course meal with beer pairings is $50 per person. Then, on Friday October 18th, stop off at Dillon Dam Brewery in Dillon from 5-7pm for the "Pray for Powder Party" hosted by KSMT radio. There will be wacky contests and prizes. Get 1/2 price wings and $2.75 pints.

Crazy Mountain Brewing (Edwards) - Thursdays are special at Crazy Mountain. Every Thursday since October 3rd, they tap another keg of Rocky Mtn High Pumpkin Pie beer. They'll tap a new keg every Thursday through Thanksgiving. Stop in and grab one while you can!

Ska Brewing Co (Durango) - The Boy Scouts won't do it, but the Girl Scouts will! Tomorrow at Ska from 5pm to 7pm the Girl Scouts are hosting a Cookie & Beer Pairing event. Enjoy Ska beer tasters of your choice along with Girl Scout Cookies. Tickets are $15, or $12 for Girl Scout leaders. Live music on site from "hello dollface!". It's a literal Girl Scout happy hour! There will also be a Silent Auction. Donations also accepted to help the Girl Scouts.

Revolution Brewing (Paonia) - In honor of Eric Goold and his birthday, their beer "Stout Ol' Friend" which was named for Eric will be sold for $2.50 a pint tonight at the tap room. Come raise a glass.
