Colorado Beer NewsToday is Gettysburg Address Day which commemorates Lincoln's famous speech at the Gettysburgh battlefield. Today is the 150th anniversary of that address which began with "Four score and seven years ago...". The infamous battle was less remembered than the speech where Lincoln stated that "... all men are created equal". Let's salute to the memory of the fallen soldiers of the American Civil War and toast to these famous words that we will always remember. Metro Denver

Station 26 Brewing (Denver) - Want to work in a brewery? Station 26 Brewing Co. is hiring! They're looking for friendly, passionate, knowledgeable craft beer lovers to work in their taproom. Previous restaurant, bar, or taproom experience is a big plus. Please send a resume, cover letter, and schedule availability to cheers[at]station26brewing.co. The brewery is scheduled to open before the end of the year (December) and will be located at: 7045 East 38th Avenue in Denver, CO.

Copper Kettle Brewing (Denver) - Continuing with their theme of "Be Thankful" cask month, today's cask is a "Pecan Bourbon Brown Ale". The cask will tap at 4:30pm sharp. Get it while it lasts as it is in short supply.

Odyssey Beerwerks (Arvada) - Discovery Beer Alert: Tomorrow, 11/20, Odyssey will be tapping a small keg of Double Dry Hopped IPA at 5:00pm! All you hop-heads better get there early - it's sure go fast. Also, there will be music by Daniella Katzir Music and food from Corner of Gourmet. Then, prepare for the "Beer'd Showcase" event at the taproom on saturday, 11/30 and their efforts to raise funds for MOvember which supports men's health and helps the fight against Prostate and Testicular cancer. Breckenridge Colorado Craft (Denver) - Tonight in their LoDo location near Coors Field they will have $3.50 Breck beers from 4pm to close. Remember to submit your entry for a chance to win the "Never Summer" Snowboard.

Our Mutual Friend Malt & Brew (Denver) - Have you picked up the 2nd Artist Series collector glass yet? Every Tuesday $10 buys you the glass + 3 fills in it. Pacific Bonsai (food truck) is at the taproom 5-10pm.

Vine Street Pub & Brewery (Denver) - Today at 4:20pm, The Vine Street Pub & Brewery will be releasing a limited number of bottles of Avery’s Immitus, Batch No. 9 of Avery’s Barrel Aged Series. This barrel-aged sour was bottled on August 8, 2011 and we have been saving for just this special day! In celebration, the Vine Street Pub is expanding the criteria of T-Shirt Tuesday’s to include Avery swag as well. If you wear a Vine Street Pub or Avery Brewing T-shirt on this special Tuesday, you will receive Happy Hour prices all day on certain marked taps. These bottles will go fast, so get here early to ensure that you get your hands on this very limited release. Again, the bottles go on sale at 4:20pm, are going for $15 a piece and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. They are not available TO GO! There will be no holding bottles and are on sale at the Vine Street Pub in Denver only!

Former Future Brewing Co (Denver) - Today the owners received their TTB Brewer's Permit. Seeing how they have already obtained their state permits - this means that Former Future is finally an official, legal and commercial brewery! Look for word on open day soon.

Hops & Pie (Denver) - Some new brews on tap today include: High Tide from Port Brewing, Humulus Lager from The Bruery, and Flight 19 from Dry Dock. Tap one with some of your favorite food today. The Artisan Sandwich of the Week is "Pulled Chicken Mole with Tomatillo Salsa, Queso Fresca & Cilantro leaves". Also, a new promo tonight - The Tuesday Night 23. Get an 18" pizza pie with two toppings and two draft beers for $23 bucks. Offer good 5pm to close.

Colorado Plus (Wheat Ridge) - Brewer Adam Draeger has come out with a unique brew for Colorado Plus. Today they have released "Bam Bam!" - A Belgian Ale brewed with Fruity Pebbles cereal in the mash! This brew weighs in at 7.7% ABV (due to all the fermentable sugar in the cereal) and a tame 21 IBUs. This brew has big fruity esters from the cereal and the yeast and has a light body and finishes dry. Quite the unique brew. Come try a pint.

Zephyr Brewing Company (Denver) - A new brewery is coming to Denver by the end of this year. Zephyr Brewing plans to open at a location near Coors Field at 26th and Walnut. They are looking for extra revenue to help build out the taproom and have started up a CrowdBrewed fundraiser campaign that promises some excellent benefits. They are trying to raise $15,000 or more. For those who donate $300 or more, one of the most excellent benefits is one free pint a day for a full year! Not bad when you consider you'll break even after about 60-75 beers - great for regulars. 2013 Holiday Beer Bash (Denver) - Don't forget! This Friday, November 22nd is American Craft Beer Radio's 2013 Holiday Beer Bash at Mile High Station. With more than 30 Breweries and almost 100 beers to sample as well as several local Chefs serving up some Great Holiday treats and prizes prizes prizes this will be a night to remember. This is a very limited admission party and you won't want to miss it. Tickets are $35.00 for general admission (6pm-9pm) and only $45.00 for VIP's (5pm-9pm). Boulder County

J Wells Brewery (Boulder) - Fans of the TV show Dr. Who take note! This Friday, November 22nd at 5pm, J Wells Brewery will host a Dr. Who Pre-Party. The new return of Dr. Who is here and they will have their Defiance British-style bitter on the hand-pull and the Heirloom food truck will be serving Bangers and Mash.

Crystal Springs Brewing (Louisville) - For the first time since they opened their new tasting room / brewery in Louisville, they have started canning beers in their new location. The new location should help get more beer out to more locations.

Asher Brewing Co (Boulder) - On Saturday December 7th Asher Brewing will celebrate their fourth year with a blow out party! There will be food from A Saviour Affair with meat provied by Frog Belly farm. All the meat that will be available was raised on Asher grain! To keep the party going there will be live music from Na'an Stop between 7-9pm. The party starts at 2pm and the first 100 people will get a commemorative koozie! Throughout the day they will be doing a $5 raffle with various Asher prizes - all proceeds will be donated to the CO Flood Relief.

Northern Colorado

Odell Brewing (Ft. Collins) - Odell Brewing along with the CSU Brewing Science & Technology Class are proud to present a new collaboration beer "Stache-On" a strong ale. There will be a tapping party in the Odell taproom on Thursday, November 21st from 4-6pm. This is a Movember inspired beer. Plenty of good eats will also be available at the tapping party. And don't forget the release of this year's Friek - lambic-style kriek-framboise hybrid. The release party is this Saturday, November 23rd and also on the 24th in the taproom. Also available in 750ml bottles.

Grimm Brothers Brewhouse (Loveland) - Regulars have known for a while, but Grimm Brothers has officially announced the expansion of their taproom into an adjacent space known as "The Library". This area to the north side of the taproom will allow more seating area during busy times and will allow for a separate private area for meetings, events, and special tastings. The room is also available for rent during off peak hours. They plan to continue to decorate and outfit this expansion area over the coming months. Pateros Creek Brewing Co (Ft. Collins) - If it's Tuesday, then it must be Growler Fill Tuesday. Bring in one of their PCBC growlers and get 1/2 off any non-imperial or GF beer fill.

High Hops Brewery (Windsor) - This Wednesday's firkin is a "Golden Sour Ale". The beer is a light golden ale that's been soured in an oak barrel. It taps at 5:00pm. Pair that with food from Big City Burrito - on site. Also, try a Hop Shot - infuse any of your beers with a Hop Shot - this week the fresh hop is Nugget.

Buckhorn Brewers (Loveland) - Jerry and Dave are busily brewing the Red Canyon Ale, (made with real canyons!).... They kegged up the new Rusty Nail last night, so they will be selling rusty nail growlers once again. Remember, $3 Thursday will be peep o day porter pints for all. Wear your shirt in on Sunday for that half price pint (your favorite).

Southern Front Range

Bristol Brewing Co (Colorado Springs) - Join in on Thursday, December 5th from 5pm to 10pm for a release of this year's batch of Christmas Ale while donning your Gnarliest Holiday Garb! They brewed up a tasty batch of their annual spiced Christmas ale to celebrate this most festive of seasons. They used a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, cloves, molasses, and love, to put a cheery winter carnival in every pint. Also, join in for their 2nd Annual Gnarly Holiday Garb Pageant. They will award prizes to the men and women with the ugliest, tackiest, gnarliest and just plain wrong holiday attire. Now is the time to hit up your Great Aunt Edna, the prolific knitter, for an atrocious ensemble. Prizes include beer for a year, t-shirts and other Bristolicious schwag.

Colorado Mountain Brewery (Colorado Springs) - Tonight at their Interquest location they will be hosting free trivia starting at 6:00pm. Drink specials and prizes for those who play.

Pug Ryan's Steakhouse & Brewery (Dillon) - There are several new distribution points for Pug Ryan beers now along the western slope including the towns of Durango, Creede, New Castle, Pagosa Springs and more. The fame of Pug Ryan's beer is spreading! For a full list of locations where you can buy Pug Ryan's beers visit their web site.

Eddyline Brewing (Buena Vista) - According to a story from Erik Gorski in the Denver Post, Eddyline Brewing has hired former head brewer Dave Chichura of Oskar Blues to come on board and be their new director of brewery operations. Just in time too as they are also planning to grow once again with a new $2 million expansion that will allow them to boost capacity as high as 50,000 barrels a year. Currently, Eddyline expects production to hit nearly 10,000 by next year. Chichura is no stranger to big canning operations and Eddyline hopes to build on his knowledge and boost their young canning business and come up with new seasonals as well. Construction on Eddyline's expansion should start in December and be completed around the 1st of May 2014.
