Colorado Beer News 010414

Colorado Beer NewsToday is Perihelion Day. While here in the northern hemisphere we are in the early stages of winter, the Earth is actually at its closest distance to the Sun that it will see all year. If you skip forward 6 months to July 4th, the Earth will be at its furthest point away from the sun all year. So if the Earth is at the closest point to the Sun today, why can it be so darn cold? Blame that on the tilt of the Earth as the Northern hemisphere is tilted away from the Sun during daylight hours. Confused? Go have a beer and don't worry about it. Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Saturday, January 4th, 2014. If you aren't reading this article on, you don't know what you're missing.
