Colorado Beer NewsToday is I'm Not Going To Take It Anymore Day. We all get fed up with something from time to time and sometimes it makes us so frustrated that we just don't want to take it anymore. Rather than put up with something today - do something about it! Take action and don't settle for anything less that what you want. And once you stand up for yourself then consider treating yourself to a craft beer later today no matter what the outcome is. Metro Denver

Rockyard Brewing (Castle Rock) - This week's Jellyman's Deviation tapping will be a Braggot aged in Redwood and are simply calling this "Redwood". It has an aroma of sweet oakiness with cherry notes and has a taste of rich malt flavor with hints of wildflowers. This beer weighs in at 10% ABV and will be served in a tulip glass. This batch taps at 4pm on Friday, January 10th. Also, starting this Friday, January 10th, bottles of their Rockyard Bourbon Barrel Stout will start hitting store shelves. If you don't see it in your liquor store, be sure to request it and keep an eye on your bomber bottle section.

Arvada Beer Co (Arvada) - Come down to the brewery for the Broncos game this weekend. They will be offering up Happy Hour prices during all Broncos playoff games. You can also join in their potluck meal which will start 30 minutes before each game. Bring a dish, dessert or entree to share. On SuperBowl Sunday they will be hosting a chili cook off fundraiser to benefit the Arvada Community Food Bank. Two categories: green chili and red chili. Winner in each category wins a prize. Coming releases: January 10th - Double Hopped Pale Ale, January 24th - Barleywine, January 31st - Belgium Golden Strong Ale (homebrewer series).

Copper Kettle Brewing (Denver) - This Wednesday January 8th, their Wednesday firkin will be a "Reduce Stress" IPL, a holy basil India Pale Lager with an aroma of mint and cloves. it's part of their January "New Year's Resolution Cask Month".

Black Sky Brewery (Denver) - Hop heads take note! Their "Demonseed IPA" is now on tap in the taproom.

River North Brewery (Denver) - For tomorrow's Wayward Wednesday small-batch release, River North will tap their American-style Avarice. More akin to a traditional Imperial Stout, this version is slightly sweeter than the original, but still with that lingering bitterness you've come to love. First pour at 3pm tomorrow.

Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project (Denver) - Get ready for another bottle release event! on Tuesday, January 14th (next week) at 5pm, Crooked Stave will begin selling bottles of Nightmare on Brett. Bottles are being sold at $12 each with a 6 bottle limit (CASH ONLY). At 6:00pm they will be tapping their final keg of HOP SAVANT GALAXY! So come down to The Source and hang out with the crew next Tuesday!

Big Choice Brewing (Broomfield) - Today the brewery has canned some of their Hemlock Double IPA. You can enjoy one on draft in the taproom and then take some home in 4-packs as well.

Historian's Ale House (Denver) - Stop in tonight for a Dry Dock Brewing Company Tap Takeover starting at 6:00pm. Get a free pint glass if you are one of the first 36 people to order a Dry Dock beer. Also at 7pm, they will tap a special firkin of Dry Dock's Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Porter. Historian's Ale House is located at 24 Broadway in Denver, CO.

Dad & Dude's Breweria (Aurora) - Stop in for $2 Tuesday. Get $2 draft beers, well drinks, wines and pizza slices.

Grist Brewing Co (Highlands Ranch) - Tomorrow, January 8th at 4pm they will release their new Morocha Hoppy Stout. This stout weighs in at 6.9% ABV, 40+ SRM and a hefty 83 IBUs! It's super roasty and nicely bitter.

Euclid Hall (Denver) - Euclid Hall is kicking off the first installment of Brew Bites 2014 today at 3pm with three tasty IPAs paired with one of a kind creations from the Euclid Hall kitchen crew. While you're here make sure to check out their front of house staff cruising around in their new Euclid Hall hoodies!

Boulder County

Oskar Blues (Longmont) - Coming up on Saturday, February 8th, the Tasty Weasel Taproom will celebrate their 5th anniversary in Longmont. There will be plenty of specialty beer all night, fun and live music. Stay tuned for more details. Also, check out the Beer Dinner listings for their upcoming "Pullin' Out All The Stops" Beer Dinner set for January 18th.

West Flanders Brewing Co (Boulder) - New fresh batches are out! A new batch of Daisy Cutter will be going on today, and tomorrow a new batch of St. Marks Dubbel will go on tap. You may notice that the St. Mark's tastes different. That's because they used a different yeast, the same yeast they use for their Obsfucation Trippel.

Front Range Brewing Co (Lafayette) - Tonight you can stop in and try their new Double IPA! In addition, stay and perform for the crowd for Open Mic Night. All performers will earn a free beer. Use that free one on the Double IPA if you like.

Northern Colorado

Grimm Brothers Bleeding Heart Raspberry PorterGrimm Brothers Brewhouse (Loveland) - [PRESS RELEASE] Grimm Brothers Brewhouse is thrilled to invite you to join us for the release of The Bleeding Heart, an incredibly delicious Raspberry German Porter! We brewed this special beer to celebrate Valentine's Day here in the Sweetheart City and are honored to join the Loveland Chamber of Commerce & Visitor's Center in naming The Bleeding Heart the Official Beer of Lovelands Valentine Celebration. To commemorate this event, bottles and draft will go on sale February 1st at 4pm and will be available only in Loveland. We will celebrate the season with our annual Valentines Dinner held in our tasting room on the 14th. This tradition is one not to be missed. - The dinner is limited to just 30 couples and is a sellout every year thus far. Tickets can be purchased at BrownPaperTickets.

High Hops Brewery (Windsor) - Tomorrow for their Wednesday Firkin, High Hops will be tapping a Strawbanero Honey Ale. It was brewed with their popular Habanero Honey and a hint of strawberry added. It taps at 5pm January 8th. It you want an extra hit of hops in any of High Hops beers, consider ordering a "Hop Shot" - this week's fresh hops are Nugget hops.

Scrumpy's Hard Cider Bar (Ft. Collins) - Stop in tonight, January 7th between 5-7pm for the Colorado launch party for the new Stella Artois Cidre. See what hard cider is all about. Several varieties on tap including one of their own creations!

Crabtree Brewing Co (Greeley) - Tonight is Trivia Night at Crabtree and also they will be tapping another new firkin at 4pm. This week, they're tapping Jeremy Swanson's Old William, a Scottish Ale. New taste and fun competition.

Verboten Brewing (Loveland) - Two new tappings for today: Gluten Removed Killer boots Caramel Porter and their Chicory Midnight Expresso. Both go wonderfully on a cold day like today.

Equinox Brewing (Ft. Collins) - Heads up! Their ever popular Space Ghost IPA is back on tap!

Black Bottle Brewery (Ft. Collins) - Fans of Black Bottle's Hipster IPA take note. Tomorrow, January 8th they will be tapping some "Mosaic Hipster", their Hipster IPA made with just Mosaic hops. In addition, they will be offering half off growler fills on Wednesday also.

Colorado Brewers' Festival (Ft. Collins) - 2014 will mark the 25th Anniversary of the Colorado Brewers' Festival. Save these dates and plan to attend - June 28 & 29, 2014! Details coming soon on the festival and tickets.

Southern Front Range

Bristol Brewing Co (Colorado Springs) - Tomorrow, January 8th from 7pm to 10pm come celebrate Elvis's birthday with Bristol Brewing in the Ivywild Gym! The night will feature the hip shaking sounds of DJ Wesley Wayne! Win Bristol Swag by participating in an Elvis impersonator costume contest and a hip swiveling competition! So come on down and enjoy a pint of Bristol Beer and a Meat Locker peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwich! Also - now on tap at the brewery: Laughing Lab, Red Rocket, Beehive, Mass Transit, Compass IPA and Winter Warlock.

Mountains and West

Backcountry Brewery (Frisco) - Backcountry is expanding distribution! They just completed a big week of bottling their beer and plan to start sending some to the Minneapolis / St. Paul area. The brewery is excited to be shipping beer to parts of Minnesota now.
