[CO Beer Festivals] -- [Beer Dinners] -- [CO Beer Releases]

Metro Denver
Diebolt Brewing Co (Denver) - Today the brewers are kegging up their newest batch - Biere de Garde. This beer will be available on tap this Friday, January 17th. Thirsty yet? Visit them at 3855 Mariposa Street in Denver, CO.

CAUTION: Brewing Co (Denver/Lakewood) - The brewery is officially announcing their Grand Opening celebration at their new West location for this Saturday, January 18th from 12pm to 10pm. There will be Door Prizes including swag and beer. Also, Karaoke, food trucks, and a ribbon cutting ceremony by Lakewood Mayor Bob Murphy. Also, the Colorado Craft Beer Radio show will be doing a live broadcast there from 12pm to 2pm. Get ready to party with CAUTION. West location is at: 1057 S. Wadsworth #60 in Lakewood, CO.

Parry's Pizza (Castle Rock) - Just because the holiday's are over isn't reason enough to put away those ugly sweaters just yet. Parry's in Castle Rock is going to how one last Ugly Sweaters and Barrel Aged Beer event this Friday, January 17th at 5:30pm. You MUST be wearing your ugliest sweater to gain access to their barrel aged beers on tap. The list includes: Bourbon County Stout (Goose Island), I Am The Eggman (Boulder Beer), Big Bad Baptist (Epic Brewing), Breakfast Stout (Backcountry Brewery), Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout (Anderson Valley), Black and Gold (Renegade Brewing) and Barrel Aged Avarice (River North). This is at the Parry's Pizza Castle Rock location only - 5650 Allen Way - Castle Rock, CO. Always 40 craft beers on tap!

Copper Kettle Brewing (Denver) - It's ‪Firkin Wednesday‬ with January being New Year's Resolutions cask month in hopes of checking off those resolutions you made this year. "No Bitterness" Ale is on today, using all finishing hops, adding little to no score for the IBU (international bitterness rating). Not to be confused, this beer still tastes hoppy, just ultra low in IBU rating. Come out and see what a virtually zero IBU rating beer tastes like. CKrepes (food truck) will be out today at 4:30pm.

Yak & Yeti Restaurant & Brewpub (Arvada) - The tap list for today has been posted. New beers include the Yak's Russian Imperial Stout (R.I.S) and also the Molasses Porter, part of their weekly Porter series. 11 beers on tap today in total including: Namaste Pilsner, Himalayan IPA, Chai Milk Stout, Jalapeno Lena, GF Apple Ale, West Coast Glutton DIPA, Rye Ask Rye IPA, Sherpa Porter, and Bill Kazmaier Golden Strong, plus their Honey Ginger soda.

Jagged Mountain Craft Brewery (Denver) - Make your Wednesday even happier by coming to Jagged Mountain today to enjoy the now-tapped, 13.0% First Descent Old Ale - which was included as one of Westword's top beers in Colorado in 2013! First Descent has a deep amber color and very full body. Aromas include intense rich caramel with a vanilla oak character. The caramel flavors carry through on the palate, as well as an apple-like fruitiness from the yeast. The warming finish barely hints at the hops balancing the huge malt character.

Golden City Brewery (Golden) - Some new construction. Gas lines are going in today, for their new outdoor Fire Bar (tm). It's not a fire pit, not a fire place, it's a bar with a raised area for a gas fed fire. It will keep you warm without heating your beer! Look for its completion soon.

Boulder County

West Flanders Brewing (Boulder) - [News Release] This week's Single Keg Series beer at West Flanders is a unique "AFC Champion Style Ale" they call Brett on the Broncos. It's their Obfuscation Trippel blended with a special batch of Angry Monk Belgian-style golden ale that was fermented with a Brettanomyces yeast from Belgium's famed Lambic region. This bold, foretelling beer was also dry-hopped with locally grown Cascade hops (from Oelsner Hop Farm in Niwot, CO) for an extra bite on its finale. Like the Denver Broncos offense, it's a winning, gloriously golden wonder deep with unstoppable flavors and wild and thrilling excitement. (Sorry Peyton, this is no light beer.) This brew taps on Thursday, January 16th at 5pm.

Boulder Beer Co (Boulder) - Starting at 4pm today, Boulder Beer will be tapping a Vanilla Amber that was aged in 3rd use bourbon barrel. It's called "Milli Vanilli".

Left Hand Brewing (Longmont) - Bottle availability report: Warrior IPA 22oz bottles are now on sale for $6 in the Tasting Room, to be enjoyed on site or at home! Just don't try to get into a staring contest with Lady Warrior on the label - she's too good.

The Very Nice Brewing Co (Nederland) - This Friday night, January 17th, Very Nice Brewing will be tapping a new beer. It's called "The Petrichor", an ESB (Extra Special Bitter). The name Petrichor means "the distinctive scent which accompanies the first rain after a long warm dry spell".
