Colorado Beer NewsToday is Punch the Clock Day. It's the old time-honored method of recording working hours in a day at your place of business. The punch clock has been around for decades. Workers and managers are encouraged to use this day to share a day of celebration at work and honor your fellow employees. Do something nice for a co-worker today. Perhaps take someone out for a craft beer after work today. Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Monday, January 27, 2014. Metro Denver

Parry's Pizza (Highlands Ranch) - Put this one on your calendar. On Thursday, February 6th, Parry's in Highlands Ranch will host a Renegade Brewing Company Pint Night starting at 5:00pm. Keith from Renegade will be on site passing out free pint glasses to those that purchase one of their beers. Get there early to ensure one of those glasses are yours. Come on down and get some glass! Also, did you know that every Monday at all Parry's locations you can get a large cheese pizza for just $10? Yup. Pair that with your favorite craft beer. #AleYeah

Our Mutual Friend Malt & Brew (Denver) - Tomorrow, January 28th, brings the next new Artist Glass #4 by Jackie Barry. The new glass design will be available in the taproom for Keep the Glass Tuesday. Also Filipino Cart will be on site as well satisfying your hunger pangs.

Lone Tree Brewing Co (Lone Tree) - Growler Monday is once again upon us! If your growler bears the logo of Lone Tree Brewing Company and you come fill it up with them today you will receive: $1 off of a 32 oz refill, $3 off of a 64 oz refill and $5 off of a 128 oz refill.

Beryl's Beer Co (Denver) - Here's a start-up brewery that just got 1 step closer to opening. Beryl's Beer Co just obtained their TTB (Federal) approval for their brewery application. This new brewery, once opened, will be located at 3120-C Black Street in Denver, CO - about 9 blocks northeast of Coors Field.

Breweries and Foodies (Denver) - A reminder, this Friday, January 31st will be a brand new beer festival located at the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. It's called "Breweries and Foodies" and will feature great food, great beer and easy karma! This is a Colorado benefit for Typhoon Relief in the Philippines. 40+ craft breweries and several different food trucks will be serving inside at the museum. Live music too from "Hey Lady!". Event runs from 6pm to 11pm. Tickets $45 in advance or $50 at the door.

Brewery Rickoli (Wheat Ridge) - The brewery is announcing their very first Vinyl Monday! They have a turntable, you provide the tunes. Blow that dust off your old albums and bring them in to relive the good ol' days and get a buck off your first brew.

Former Future Brewing Co (Denver) - More good news! This soon to open brewery in Denver just passed both their Electrical and Health Final inspections. Open day should not be far behind. Stay glued for word on opening day. Former Future will be located at 1290 S. Broadway in Denver, CO.

Big Choice Brewing (Broomfield) - Today they have their "10,000 Summers Saison" back on tap starting tonight. And coming up this Wednesday, January 29th Big Choice will tap a firkin of Cherry Pie Stout. It's going to be a busy week. Unwind at Big Choice.

FERMÆNTRA (Denver) - Another step closer to becoming official - the brewery has submitted their TTB (federal) paperwork today. One more check mark on the list completed. FERMÆNTRA plans to open a brewery at 1715 E. Evans Avenue later this year.

River North Brewery (Denver) - Surprise! River North is going to release a surprise edition of their J. Marie farmhouse ale this Saturday, February 1st at 1:00pm. This time they've bottled a Scotch Barrel J. Marie, a brew that's picked up layers of smoke, peat and oak. They bottled 110 cases of this one-time special release. Bomber bottles are individually numbered and will be available for purchase starting at 1pm. It'll also be on tap. Bottles will hit stores the next week.

Station 26 Brewing (Denver) - The brewery's new Firkin Thursday's have recently begun this month and will continue this Thursday, January 30th at 4pm with a tapping of a Belgian-American Pale Ale with blood oranges. They also put out a short video about their Firkin Thursday program on Facebook. Check out this link to view it.

Prost Brewing (Denver) - According to a report confirmed by BeerAdvocate founder Todd Alstrom, Bill Eye (brewmaster, and former head brewer at Dry Dock) has resigned his position as Prost Brewing's brewmaster effective last Saturday, January 25th. Bill will remain as an owner/partner with the company although declined to comment on why he stepped down as brewmaster. In related news, Prost's assistant brewer was "released" back in December. What does this mean for the beers at Prost? Stay tuned for updates as they come in.

Boulder County

Front Range Brewing Co (Lafayette) - The Highlander has returned! The Highlander Imperial Milk Stout that is. It's the perfect thing for this cold, snowy day. Also, in the taproom you'll be handed a quick and easy survey about how FRBC can improve your experience. Please take a second to fill it out. You can turn it in completely anonymously or you can jot your contact info down and be entered to win a growler fill - totally up to you.

Mountain Sun Breweries (Boulder & Denver) - Here's today's poster of the day. It's all about the 21st Annual Stout Month - February 2014. This poster lists all of the names of all the stouts they plan to roll out during the full month of February this year. Plus, it's an awesome tribute to the Colorado state flag. What are you gonna drink during stout month?

Left Hand Brewing (Longmont) - Stock up for the Big Game. On February 1st and 2nd, if you purchase a growler or 6-pack at the tasting room you'll receive a "Free Pint" card. Plus, if you need a keg for your big game party, kegs of Left Hand beer will be 20% off those days. Some days it pays to be left handed.

Northern Colorado

City Star Brewing (Berthoud) - Don't forget! This month's Potluck at the brewery is happening this Tuesday at 6:30pm. Bring in a dish to share. The theme for this month is Italian. Special bonus to those who use a City Star beer as an ingredient in one of your dishes. Join in the fun and beery fellowship.

Loveland Aleworks (Loveland) - Over the weekend, the brewery tapped 2 new beers including their Cross-Eyed Wookie (coffee brown ale) and an Imperial IPA. Next up on tap will be 2 new seasonals, a Belgian Strong Ale and "For the Love of Pale".

Black Bottle Brewery (Ft. Collins) - One year old breweries are lucky to expand in their first year of operation. Black Bottle Brewing in Fort Collins is planning to expand for the 3rd time in just over a year and they've got some big plans for bottling and distributing too. Check out their latest press release to find out what's in the works for this fast growing Colorado craft brewery.

The Fort Collins Brewery (Ft. Collins) - [PRESS RELEASE] Fort Collins, Colo. – The Fort Collins Brewery, along with Gravity 1020 Modern Tavern, is excited to team up with The Welsh Rabbit Cheese Shop for a Beer and Cheese Pairing night on Monday, February 10th at the Cheese Shop. At a cost of $21 a ticket, guests are in for a evening that consists of five beer pairings, the ability to ask questions to the representation from FCB and Welsh Rabbit about the styles of brew and cheese first-hand and a chance to expand their palate. The Beer and Cheese Pairing will be split into two sessions, starting at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. For tickets, contact The Welsh Rabbit Cheese Shop at 970-232-9521, a $10 deposit is required. Funkwerks (Ft. Collins) - The bottles are all gone, but 3 kegs remain of their special Tropic King aged in Peach Whiskey Barrels. You'll only find it in the taproom. Stop in soon to get some before it's all gone.

Southern Front Range

Phantom Canyon Brewing (Colorado Springs) - Today is Free Pool Monday! Order a craft beer and play all the free pool you want in their pool hall. Sounds like a fun way to spend your Monday.

Great Storm Brewing (Colorado Springs) - Announcing new business hours! Starting tomorrow, January 28th, Great Storm will be open Tuesdays from 1-9pm each week. Stop in for a pint this Tuesday.

Mountains and West

Rockslide Brewery & Restaurant (Grand Junction) - The Rock is ready for Super Sunday. They'll have specials going all day long. For pre-game 12pm - 4pm - for $10 per person get unlimited samples of Rockslide's finest beers. All proceeds go to benefit the COPMOBA charity. Then starting at kick-off, get $2.50 pints, $5 appetizers and a special $3 Orange Crush cocktail. Located at 401 Main Street.

Crazy Mountain Brewery Co (Edwards) - To celebrate the Denver Broncos heading to the Big Game, they are doing a Bronco Happy Hour starting today until Saturday. Wear any Broncos attire to their tasting room from 5-7pm and get your first pint of beer for $2. On Big Game Sunday (Feb. 2nd), come refill your growler in Broncos clothing and get a FREE pint of beer (free pint coupon can be redeemed that day or the week after as well).

Kannah Creek Brewing Co (Grand Junction) - Chocolate lovers take note. Kannah Creek will be tapping a firkin of Chocolate Porter today at 5pm. It makes Monday that much better.
