Great Divide Brewing Co (Denver) - [Newsletter] This year marks their 20th Anniversary and they’re brewing something extra special to celebrate. Fermented with Viognier grape juice, 20th Anniversary is a Belgian-style ale that’s both delicate and assertive. Big without being brutish, cunning without being cloying, this is a grown-up beer for a big-time celebration. Look for 20th Anniversary on taps and shelves this April. As another nod to our storied 20-year history, they've dusted off the recipe books to revisit a classic. That’s right, old school GD fans – Saint Bridget’s Porter makes a miraculous (yet temporary) return to the Tap Room this month. Available just in time for that other Irish Saint's famous holiday, it's time to make some new memories with this retro relic. Then, put this on your calendar in big, fat permanent marker. Their 20th Anniversary Party is Saturday, June 14th. Don’t miss out on their favorite summer afternoon of special-release beers, food trucks and live music. Tickets go on sale in early May. The newly expanded patio will double seating capacity for enjoying a beer in the warm sunshine and opens up the possibility of summer concerts and festivals at the Lafayette Marketplace pavilion. The current taproom space features floor to ceiling windows that face the pavilion. Under the new renovations, those will be removed to put in a sliding glass door which will open into an indoor/outdoor seating area. This indoor/outdoor space will be enclosed by a railing on one side and a sliding garage door on another. The expanded outdoor space will extend out from the garage door and to the east to meet the existing patio, doubling the current space and creating an expansive area to be enjoyed on one of Colorado's many sunny days or pleasant evenings with beer in hand. A newly added 7bbl fermenter will help keep the beer flowing. The patio faces the recently renovated pavilion of the Lafayette Marketplace. Plans this summer will include a wider range of events from summer concerts, festivals, and fund raising events.
