Metro Denver

World of Beer (Cherry Creek) - Most tap takeovers have up to a dozen beers from a single brewery. Not this one. This tap takeover is going to be EPIC! Epic Brewing will be the focus of a tap takeover today from 5pm to close with 50 different Epic Brewing beers on tap. All 50 taps will be pouring nothing but Epic Brewing craft beers. Blue Spruce Brewing (Centennial) - Barring any last minute set-backs, they are hoping to have their last city inspection within the next week to obtain their Certificate of Occupancy. Great Divide Brewing Co (Denver) - This month marks the most triumphant seasonal return of Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti in the beer’s rich history. Fresh off its 2013 Great American Beer Festival Gold Medal win, this year’s batch will disappear faster than ever. Visit their Beer Finder early to stock up. Ale House at Amato's (Denver) - There will be a special tapping for a collaboration beer that was made by Breckenridge Brewery and SweetWater Brewing at 4:20pm. In addition Crooked Stave and Upslope Brewing will also be pouring a few selections. Then at 5:45pm there will be a special toast to honor the life of the late Curtis McArthur of SweetWater. Falling Rock Tap House (Denver) - Tonight is the special "Night of the Saisons" in honor of the Craft Brewers Conference in town starting at 5:30pm. There will be 30 different Saisons to try from all over the world. This will be a most notable night for Saison fans. [1919 Blake St, Denver, CO]

Freshcraft (Denver) - Come check out the craft beers from The Bruery (CA) and Cigar City (FL) tonight at 7pm at Freshcraft. Several selections from each brewery will be pouring including some barleywines, saisons, pale ales and even a cream porter. [1530 Blake St, Denver, CO]

38 State Brewing Co (Littleton) - BREAKING NEWS: Just prior to posting today, 38 State Brewing announced that they have now passed all of their final inspections and can now open for business! Stay tuned for work on when this will be. They plan to have an amber ale, a Scottish ale, a honey wheat, a double IPA and a chocolate bourbon stout initially when they open. De Steeg Brewing (Denver) - New beer tapping today when they open up at 4pm. Come try their new Ginger Ale (not soda pop, but beer). It's billed as having a light crisp body with a hint of ginger. Open tonight until 11pm. [4342 Tennyson St, Denver, CO]

Elk Mountain Brewing (Parker) - Another firkin day at Elk Mountain. Stop in after 4pm to try their Tropical Pale Ale off the firkin tap. Enjoy it with the sun on the patio while it's up. [18921 Plaza Dr, Parker, CO]

Boulder County

BeerAdvocate (Magazine) - The Alstroms are planning a BeerAdvocate Social at Avery Brewing in Boulder on Saturday, April 19th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. There will be special tastings and a brewery tour for this group. Sign up at BeerAdvocate's online site. [5763 Arapahoe Ave, Boulder, CO]

Avery Brewing (Boulder) - More Avery news! The next three beers in Avery's Barrel-Aged Series have been announced. No. 20 is Obscura & Numbosus, a sour ale aged in Rum barrels with ginger and key limes. No. 21 is Black Eye, a rum barrel-aged imperial stout . And No. 22 is 5 Monks, a bourbon barrel-aged Belgian-style quintupel ale. Obscura & Numbosus is due out soon. Black Eye will be bottled around May 10th, and 5 Monks will be bottled around June 15th. Northern Colorado

City Star Brewing (Berthoud) - City Star is participating in Old Chicago's Cinco de Mayo mini beer tours in Longmont and Ft. Collins today. Their "Chili The Kid" will be on tap at Old Chicago Longmont and Old Chicago Harmony. Then on Monday, City Star will be tapping their Sandia Hot chili infused pale ale in their taproom in Berthoud starting on Monday, April 14th. [321 Mountain Ave, Berthoud, CO]

Patrick's Irish Pub (Greeley) - After the huge success of their first Cellar Tasting event, they have decided to host another cellar tasting at Patrick's on Saturday, April 19th from 2pm to 4pm. Attendees will receive samples of nine different beers and assorted cheeses from MouCo. Beers include: Dogfish Head Bitches Brew (Imperial Stout), Grand Teton 2012 Coming Home (Barleywine), Goose Island 2012 Matilda (Belgian Strong Pale), Dry Dock 2014 Bligh's Barleywine, Port Brewing Older Viscosity (Imperial Stout aged in bourbon bbls), Alesmith Speedway Stout (coffee imperial stout), Crooked Stave Origins (Burgundy Sour), and Russian River Supplication (sour on draft). Dillon Dam Brewery (Dillon) - Now on tap - their new "Exit 205 Session Ale". This very light blonde ale is like taking a spring break with every glass. It has citrus flavors, it's light and dry. Tonight get 1/2 price appetizers and $2.75 pints from 9-10pm. [100 Little Dam Rd, Dillon, CO]
