Metro Denver

Yak & Yeti Restaurant & Brewpub (Arvada) - New beers on tap this week include: 1) Saison du Yak, a 5.3% ABV / 23 IBU sessionable summer saison, and 2) Oaked IPA, a 6.3% ABV / 70 IBU India Pale Ale with a bit of charred wood - part of their Haunted Series. Coming up this Saturday, May 24th at 3pm will be the release of "Thrilla", a 10% ABV Imperial White Stout. This is a collaboration with member Rob Rodriguez. Then save the date for Tuesday, July 1st, 2014 for their 6th Anniversary Party and 150th Anniversary House celebration. They plan to release their "150 Pale Ale" then. That brew is being made with 44 lbs of Indian Jaggery sugar. [7803 Ralston Rd, Arvada, CO]

Jagged Mountain Craft Brewery (Denver) - Today they tapped the new "Verglas Stout". This is a big 8.7% ABV, 45 IBU dark brew. It has a deep black color with a sustained beige head. Moderate citrus hop aromas mingle with the complex toasted and roasted malt aromas of coffee and chocolate. Roasted chocolate, caramel and coffee flavors balance against a firm hop bitterness and a medium body to result in a satisfying yet refreshing finish. Also, new hats have arrived! Arvada Beer Co (Arvada) - Today's Brewers Limited Reserve is Watermelon Wheat.Taps at 2 pm. 15 Gallons until it is gone. Also today they will release their newest beer Hopped up Red. Their Irish Red with 45 IBU's of hops! [5600 Olde Wadsworth Blvd]

Epic Brewing Co (Denver) - Now available in cans! Their popular brew "Escape to Colorado IPA" is now available in canned 6-packs. They are available now in the tap room. Stock up for your Memorial Weekend. [3001 Walnut St, Denver, CO]

CAUTION: Brewing Co (Denver/Lakewood) - Today is ExBeeriment Thursday. They have their Galangai Root Gose on tap in both tap rooms (East & West). #partywithcaution

Station 26 Brewing Co (Denver) - Today's the day they tap a firkin of their Mosaic Wheat, a brew made grapefruit. This beer just tapped at 4pm today. Then tomorrow, stop back in and try their Tripel. [7045 E 38th Ave, Denver, CO]

Dry Dock Brewing Co (Aurora) - What's the firkin? (WTF) This Friday it's going to be a brew called "Flight 19". It's a whiskey barrel aged oatmeal stout and it'll tap at 3pm sharp on May 23rd. [15120 E Hampden Ave, Aurora, CO]

Boulder County

Colorado Breweries (Book Signing) - Dan Rabin, author of the recently-released Colorado Breweries guidebook, will be signing copies of the book at several locations in upcoming days. Today, he’ll be at Cannonball Creek Brewing in Golden beginning at 4 PM. On Saturday, he'll be at the Tasty Weasel tap room at Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont beginning at 2 PM. On Sunday, Boulder's Fate Brewing will host a book signing beginning at noon during their weekend brunch. Read Fermentedly Challenged's review of this awesome book.

Crystal Springs Brewing Co (Louisville) - Tic Wit, Marilyn and Wuerzburger are now available in bottles. West End Tavern and Old Chicago on Pearl Street in Boulder now have Summertime Ale on tap. Lulu’s in Louisville has Wuerzburger on tap. Riff’s in Boulder will soon have Naughty Marilyn on tap. And The Sink in Boulder will be carrying Summertime Ale in cans and Wuerzburger in bottles. And they've added two new liquor stores: Glacier in Erie and High 5 Liquor in Broomfield. They’re working hard to keep up with demand and are fervently working to get more fermenters. They'll be canning South Ridge Amber this Friday – just in time for Memorial Day! Be sure to pick some up for the weekend. Crystal Springs will be closed on Memorial Day, so be sure to stop by Friday or Saturday. Twelve Degree Brewing (Louisville) - MFBPA arrives just in time for Summer & The World Cup. [PRESS RELEASE] - No, it doesn’t stand for what you think it does! A Belgian-American hybrid pale ale, MFBPA is named for a certain Belgian-born U.S. martial arts actor nicknamed “Muscles From Brussels”. The punnerific name MFBPA encapsulates the convergence of cultures in the form of a tasty summer brew. MFBPA is a Belgian pale ale, aroma-hopped with American Columbus hops creating a piney flavor and citrusy aroma, while the Belgian yeast provides light fruity esters. At 6.3% abv, this summer thirst-quencher is balanced and highly drinkable. Odd13 Brewing (Lafayette) - Exciting times going down at Odd13 right now! You can now buy their bombers at Hazel's, Atlas, and Three Rivers liquor stores, AND they'll be on the guest tap list at The Post starting tomorrow. #99bottles #bomberheaven - and tonight, they have their weekly foosball tournament at 7pm and GottaRubIt BBQ in the beergarden. Oh! And a full taplist for the first time ever (12 beers). Choose between: Papa Silenus, Eric the Red, Sir Joshua, Professor Hops, Hanuman Australian Summer, Zed the Zorcerer, Eric's Other Brother Adam, Dr. Cougar, Chainsaw the Prince of Karate, Succubus, Coal Miner's Cuzin, and Madam Psychosis. Northern Colorado

Verboten Brewing (Loveland) - Their Golden Ale (Got the Knife) is indeed truly golden. Come get $1 off pints and a slice! The taproom opened at 1pm today and at 6pm the pizza will be put out for all to enjoy.

Pateros Creek Brewing Co (Ft. Collins) - If this is Thursday, then there must be a new Outlaw brew on tap. At noon today, they tapped "Elder Mother", and elderflower infused sour session ale. This brew is named after the spirit that is released after cutting down an elder tree. (Relax forest friends: No trees were harmed in the creation of this brew) - also at 5pm to 5:15pm tonight they will be giving away free tasters of both Lady Moon (raspberry-cherry wheat) and St. Walburga Wheat, a light, spicy citrus brew. Broken Plow Brewery (Greeley) - Plaid has quickly become quite the popular fashion trend with the brewers at Broken Plow. In honor of this, they have declared this Sunday, May 25th to be "Wear Your Plaid Day". Get a buck off your beer Sunday if you wear plaid. Front Range Rally Beer Fest (Loveland) - While the VIP tickets are now SOLD OUT, there are still General Admission tickets left for the May 31st beer festival in Loveland, Colorado. The Front Range Rally is a huge fundraiser for Food Bank for Larimer County. All of the proceeds of this festival will be given to help support the hungry and families in need in Larimer County. There will be 40+ breweries pouring 100+ beers, 10 food trucks, 2 live bands and plenty of fun. The fest will be held on the grounds of the Loveland Food Bank and will run from 2:30pm to 7:00pm. Mountains and West

Broken Compass Brewing (Breckenridge) - At long last, after lots of hard work, the brewery has finally received their coveted "Certificate of Occupancy". That means the Game is ON! Steamboat Wine Festival's Beer-B-Q (Steamboat Springs) - [PRESS RELEASE] Fire up the grills and crack open a cold one. Two American classics converge this summer at the Steamboat Wine Festival’s newest event, “Beer-B-Q.” On Saturday, August 9th, 7pm — explore the world of barbecue and craft beer with none other than the world-renowned chefs of Rex’s. They’ll show off their grilling skills as brewers from Colorado’s famous craft breweries showcase a wide range of delicious beers and styles. And just like any true barbecue, live music will keep the party hopping through the evening. Beer-B-Q runs from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Torian Plum Plaza..
