Colorado Beer NewsToday is Father's Hangover Day. It's the day after Father's Day and many Dad's in this country are having a slow go of it today. Many Dad's may have enjoyed yesterday a little too much. Go easy on them today as they recover from their weekend of celebration. What's the best way to help get over Father's Day? Perhaps a little hair of the dog after work, or if you feel they get what they deserve, tell them to get over it and get back to work. Great Divide Brewing Co (Denver) - Hope you had a chance to attend their 20th Anniversary party over the weekend. Now the job of building their 2nd location can begin at 3403 Brighton Blvd. There's a new brew coming in July. Showdown Rye IPA stakes its claim this July as the newest member of their Tank Farm® series. With a heaping addition of hardy rye, this copper-hued brew delivers an unmistakable spicy character, while a burly dose of American hops evokes the piney aroma of untamed wilderness. Balanced, bold, and brave, Showdown hits shelves and taps in early July. Also, last call for their recent seasonals. Rumble and Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti will be back next year, but this month is your last chance to pick up a bottle of 20th Anniversary. Beer By Design Brewery (Northglenn) - As part of their one year anniversary, the brewery will also release three new beer styles throughout the month of June. These beers will be available for a limited time, so get down there an enjoy them while they last. To start, they are releasing their BBD Coconut Porter, which is on tap now. Later this month they will release two other unique beer styles. A piney, hoppy beer lovers dream and a ginger flavored beer. TRVE Brewing (Denver) - On June 20th TRVE Brewing will be having their anniversary party and releasing their 2nd anniversary beer - Volume II. This beer is a potently sour brown ale fermented in High West whiskey barrels with Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus. Volume II weighs in at a hefty 11%, and will be available on draft at the brewery. They’ll be releasing a limited amount of young kegs of this beer and letting the rest sit to allow them to develop more Brett character for next year. Two22 Brew (Centennial) - Special World Cup day today! They're opening at 3pm so you can come watch the USA soccer game. Get $1 off your first pint for wearing soccer gear! The bad news is that they have a Private event at 6:30pm, so get your beer in early! [4550 S Reservoir Rd, Centennial, CO]

Twelve Degree Brewing (Louisville) - This Saturday, June 21st on the Summer Solstice, come celebrate Twelve Degree’s first birthday in the taproom from noon - midnight. The party will feature the extraordinary band PAA KOW at 8pm! They hope to have a packed house of 12 Degree regulars and craft beer lovers that have made their first year so memorable and successful. Front Range Brewing Co (Lafayette) - On Saturday, June 28th, Front Range Brewing Co is turning one and they're throwing a party to celebrate! FRBC is taking over the back pavilion of the Jax/Lafayette Marketplace. They'll have three bands, seven special beer tappings, and food specials including beer cupcakes from Juliana's Bakery, and a pig roast from Lunada. The music kicks off at noon with Old's Cool Rock on the pavilion followed by Wall of Records then Ash Ganley brings it inside at 6pm. The special tappings include a nicely aged brewer's reserve keg of Rumrunner Coffee Quad, Brandy Barrel aged Tripel, and Bourbon Barrel Aged Dopplesticke Alt, small batch Gratzer and Kentucky Common, finishing with a Tequila Barrel Saison with Brett and a Cherry Lambic. Echo Brewing (Frederick) - Echo is hiring! Echo Brewing Company will host a Job Fair on Saturday, June 28th 9am-12pm. They're searching for experienced wait staff, bartenders, hosts, hostesses and kitchen staff for both their Frederick and Erie locations. Crystal Springs Brewing Co (Louisville) - The brewery now has three new fermenters up and running - and filled! They've got Marilyn and "13" in their 4 bbl fermenters and Summertime, South Ridge and "13" in their 5 bbl fermenters, plus Solano in the 2 bbl fermenters. This week CSBC plans to fill the 10 bbl fermenter. While they are still struggling a bit to keep up with demand (still out of a few beers) they're working hard to make more! Oskar Blues - Tasty Weasel (Longmont) - You know what they put into a can, but have you tried one of their taproom specialty beers lately? Today they've got a Breckenridge bourbon barrel aged Ten Fidy Imperial Stout on tap (10.5% ABV). Plus, other specialties include: Nitro Old Chub, Nitro G'Knight, Oxford Education English Brown Ale, Priscilla Wheat beer, REEB Rye'd IPA, and Station 3 Hefeweizen. Betcha want to try one! Odd13 Brewing (Lafayette) - Come support Team USA this afternoon out at Odd13! Avery Brewing (Boulder) - Here's some advanced notice of their next Barrel Aged beer release. Black Eye (#21), a barrel-aged Imperial Stout is scheduled to be released in 12oz bottles on Sunday, July 13th starting at 11:00am. Bottle sales begin at 1pm. Odell Brewing Co (Ft. Collins) - Introducing Trellis Garden Ale, part of their Cellar Series. Trellis Garden Ale is brewed with locally grown herbs and spices from The Gardens on Spring Creek, and is a stroll through the garden in a glass - a sip of summer and a harvest of flavor. Coriander, cilantro, pineapple mint, lavender and rose petal bloom in this bright pale ale. Big Thompson Brewery is celebrating the receipt of their building permit after a long wait. Construction of their new brewery and taproom can now begin. With a little luck, they should be opening sometime this Fall 2014.
