Colorado Beer News 062614

Colorado Beer NewsToday is Bar Code Day. Today is the 40th anniversary of the very 1st product to be barcoded and scanned at a checkout counter at a supermarket. The product happened to be a pack of Wrigley's gum. Ever since then, the world became inundated with those oddly spaced black bars on every product imaginable. Good thing we don't need to barcode our pint glasses when we order a beer at our local brewery. Let's just hope we all don't end up being required to get barcode tattoos for identification someday. Other holidays today include: National Handshake Day and the 17th anniversary of the 1st Harry Potter book being published. Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Thursday, June 26th, 2014. If you aren't reading this article on, you don't know what you're missing.

The company also plans to release Stick’s Pale Ale in cans later this year. “When we made the decision to add cans to our product line, we also chose to invest in brand re-design and knew that the design and advertising firm of Moxie Sozo would knock it out of the park,” explained owner Leslie Kaczeus. “We asked them to create an intriguing design that would pop on the shelf and we’re absolutely thrilled with the final product and can't wait to see it in stores.
