German noble hops balance this rich and malty lager with a delicate herbal and spicy bouquet of aromas. Prost! Stats: ABV 5.4%, IBU 24, SRM 7. “Our Oktoberfest is a true to style brew using 100 percent German malts and hops,” said FCB’s Lead Brewer, Adam Glaser. “We have a history of making classic German lagers, and with the commissioning of our new brew haus this past year, creating an Oktoberfest was quite enticing.” Oktoberfest will be available to FCB’s 22-state distribution through the fall season in 6-packs and on draft, along with the Brewer’s Lunch Box, a variety 12-pack. Now you can have your craft beer with a Manhattan twist as Firkin Fridays continues at Steamworks Brewing Co. on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014. It is also a fairly hoppy beer with generous hop additions for both flavor and aroma.” “For the firkin, the beer was re-fermented with oak spirals soaked in Bullet rye whiskey and sweet cherry puree,” said Steamworks Brew Master and Certified Cicerone® Ken Martin. “This creates the tweak on the classic Manhattan, with the hops representing the bitters.” [801 E 2nd Ave, Durango, CO]
