Dry Dock Brewing Co (Aurora) - [PRESS RELEASE] This week Dry Dock Brewing Co. released the Signature Series Whiskey Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout in 22 oz. bombers (9.2% ABV 50 IBU). The 2014 Signature Series release of the Imperial Stout is the first of this year’s Signature Series, a collection of small-batch, barrel-aged imperial and double beers. It is the first time this whiskey barrel-aged Imperial Stout has been available outside of the taproom. The Signature Series Imperial Stout was first brewed by Dry Dock Brewing’s Director of Operations Doug Hyndman for the annual brewers’ Ho Ho Ho Slapdown brewing contest in 2012. It took second place in the contest, but everyone loved it so much that it gained a spot in Dry Dock’s seasonal tap lineup. The Imperial Stout, along with the rest of the Signature Series beers, will be available on tap and in bottles in Dry Dock’s tasting room. Less than 200 cases of bombers will be distributed throughout the state of Colorado. Next to be released in the Signature Series are the Double Brown Ale and Hazelnut Double Brown, followed by the Double Vanilla Porter and Double Coffee Porter, and finally the Bligh’s Barleywine Ale. All of these Signature Series beers were aged in whiskey barrels.

Black Shirt Brewing Co (Denver) - BSB brewed up a Lemongrass Red Farmhouse Ale in collaboration with Old Major Restaurant and they'll putting some of it on tap tonight at the brewery. It's already been a hit at Old Major for a couple weeks. This brew was double dry-hopped with lemongrass. Stop by and try a glass. Also, the Long I Pie Shop will be on site serving up tasty pies - even a cherry and lemongrass pie to pair with the beer! [3719 Walnut St, Denver, CO]

Diebolt Brewing Co (Denver) - Its been a year and Diebolt Brewing is still making beer! They are proud to announce the official dates of their 1st year anniversary party, September 19th - 21st. They have a lot of fun and tasty stuff in the works; Calder's Revolvers on Friday, Hello Bourbon on Saturday and Bronco vs Seahawks on Sunday in addition to food trucks and tons of beer tappings. Odd13 Brewing (Lafayette) - Fall is coming and Odd13 has just announced two new fall seasonal beers that are due out in the coming weeks (release dates TBA). First brew is "Oddtoberfest", a traditional Octoberfest frain bill fermented 100% with Brett Lambicus, hopped & dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin. And the second brew is "Puckery Pumpkin Ale", a sour brown ale with Brett Lambicus, pumpkin and subtle spices (emphasis on the subtle). Release dates coming soon. [301 E Simpson St, Lafayette, CO]

Fate Brewing Co (Boulder) - Fall is in the air! In addition to pumpkin beers, falling leaves and back-to-school there is a lot to look forward to with the changing of seasons at FATE Brewing Company. Sanitas Brewing Co (Boulder) - [PRESS RELEASE] New kid on the block no more, Sanitas Brewing Co. is in the process of planning their first anniversary celebration. On Saturday, September 6th the central Boulder brewery will host a party featuring several rare beer tappings, a grown up bake sale with beer infused cupcakes, a crawfish boil put on by McDevitt Taco Supply, and tunes spun by DJ Z-Staar throughout the evening. “We've had an incredible first year,” said Sanitas co-founder Michael Memsic, “for months we've been looking forward to celebrating with our fans; they're the ones who are making this thing work. This party is just as much a tribute to them as it is Sanitas.”

Dillon Dam Brewery (Dillon) - Now on tap - two completely different and tasty beers. The first is a Bohemian-style Peach Pilsner, made with over 8 pounds of Colorado Palisade Peaches. The second beer is a Mexican-style Chili lager. This was made with over 33 pounds of fresh roasted chilies including: jalapeno, poblano, anaheim, habanero and Fresno chilies. Craft Beer Distributor of the Year Award - (Alexandria, VA) The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) and the Brewers Association (BA) are pleased to announce the nominees for the Eighth Annual Craft Beer Distributor of the Year Award. The award recognizes an American beer distributor who goes above and beyond in their efforts to actively market, sell and promote craft beer. The award will be presented jointly October 4, 2014, at the Great American Beer Festival® hosted by the BA in Denver, Colorado. In addition to the Craft Beer Distributor of the Year Award, a Craft Beer Achievement Award (first runner-up) and Craft Beer Distributor Recognition Award (second runner-up) will be presented.
