Colorado Beer News 101314

Colorado Beer NewsToday is Columbus Day or lesser known as National Day of Mourning (Native Americans). It was roughly 522 years ago that Christopher Columbus' expedition arrived in the Americas. The United States commemorates this day on the 2nd Monday of October and is a Federal holiday, but the actual date was October 12th. Oddly enough, the holiday was first celebrated in Colorado in 1906 and later became a Federal holiday in 1937. For some, this is an Italian-American holiday, but to others, it is a day that marked the beginning of the destruction of the nation that the Native Americans once knew. If you choose to celebrate (or mourn) this day, a craft beer might help. Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Monday, October 13th, 2014. If you aren't reading this article on, you don't know what you're missing.
