Colorado Beer NewsToday is National Grouch Day. Are you a grouch? If so, today is your day. It's the one day each year where you won't need an excuse to be grouchy. You won't have to be nice to anyone today either. Just remember, tomorrow you'll have to go back to being a nice person again and people might just remember how grouchy you were the day before. Might be a good idea to follow up today with buying some people a beer tomorrow. So if you know someone who is a bit grouchy today - give them a break today. Odyssey Beerwerks (Arvada) - Looks like a great weather for today's Discovery Beer! The Guava Ale goes on tap at 5:00pm! This crisp, refreshing ale should pair well w/BBQ from Bubba Duke's BBQ. Luckily, he's here today. And, not to cause a panic, but they're down to the last keg of Palm Tree Caribbean Lager for the year (they'll bring it back next spring). TRVE Brewing (Denver) - Tomorrow night (10/16) they're hosting Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers, and to celebrate they're gonna tap five gallons of Eastern Candle aged on peaches and sage. Tat beer goes on at 7:06 pm. [227 Broadway #101, Denver, CO]

The Brew on Broadway (Englewood) - Today they are busy brewing up their Orchard Place Caramel Apple Stout. Yum! It'll take about 2 weeks for the tapping to take place - stay tuned! Also stop in for Reggae on Broadway from 7pm to 9pm. [3445 S Broadway, Englewood, CO]

Elk Mountain Brewing (Parker) - With the high today in the 80's we can all pretend it's still summer right?! Watermelon Wheat is the perfect firkin to do that, and they will tap it at 4:00pm. Gusto's Kitchen will be there at 5:00pm as well! [18921 Plaza Dr, Parker, CO]

Chain Reaction Brewing Co (Denver) - You've reach hump day! That means only 1 more day till you can stop by and get your Chain Reaction Brewing Company beer fix! They'll have all 16 taps filled up and ready for you to drink and a great line up of food trucks to pair with your liquid indulgence all the rest of the week. On Saturday, October 18th, they'll be releasing their Smoked Pumpkin Porter. [902 S Lipan St, Denver, CO]

Hops & Pie (Denver) - Today is $2 Craft Can Night from 5pm to close. Also there's several new beers on tap today including: Truth from Rhinegeist, Golden Gate Gose from Almanac, Smoke & Dagger from Jack's Abby, Saison Delores from Almanac, Bang Bang from Stone, and Deceit from Funkwerks. River North Brewery (Denver) - Now on tap for Wayward Wednesday: "The Hidden Barrel." They only made one keg, come be one of the only people in the world to try this experimental brew! As always, Wednesday wings by Matt's Snack Shack! [2401 Blake St, Unit 1, Denver, CO]

Diebolt Brewing Co (Denver) - True Roots Harvest Ale is kegged and carbonated; just waiting on Renee and the Bakin Bakery truck. They'll be tapping this Wet Hopped, Squashed, 8.6% ABV, ode to the Fall harvest on Friday, October 17th. Bakin Bakery will be cooking food from True Roots urban farm to pair with it. Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project (Denver) - It's a golden sour kind of day. Good thing they have three on tap: Apricot, Pomegranate, and Passion Fruit. What's your pleasure? [3350 Brighton Blvd, Denver, CO]

4 Noses Brewing Co (Broomfield) - Today is the right day for 4 Noses to release their Imperial Pumpkin Ale. Trivia tonight from 7-9pm and Barbed Wire Reef will be in serving up some wild game delights. [8855 W 116 Cir, Broomfield, CO]

Crystal Springs Brewing Co (Louisville) - The 2014 version of their Solano chili beer is going to be released during their Louisville 1st Anniversary celebration on Saturday, November 1st. 300 Suns Brewing (Longmont) - What could be better than talking roller derby and drinking beer? How about adding some trivia to spice it up? Boulder County Bombers will be at 300 Suns hosting a trivia night on Saturday, October 25th from 7-9pm. They will be giving away tickets to next season home bouts, t-shirts and more!
