Diebolt Brewing Co (Denver) - Diebolt Brewing Company will be releasing a barrel aged version of their Biere de Triomphe this Friday, the 14th. After a 5 month garde in Cabernet barrels, wonderful flavors of black currant and spicy oak mingle with grape-like esters and slight citrus notes from the Biere de Triomphe leaving a smooth, slightly tart, well blended, barrel-aged Biere. “The Biere de Triomphe already had a significant wine character from the yeast, so it was no surprise that this was the perfect beer for wine barrel aging.” said brewer Jack Diebolt “We like this version so much, the next time we brew the Biere de Triomphe the whole batch is getting laid down in Cabernet barrels." - The beer will be available when the tasting room opens at 4pm Friday.
