Colorado Beer NewsToday is National Unfriend Day. How many supposed "friends" do you have on Facebook but really don't have anything to do with them? It's that annual day of the year to trim down your friend fat on social media and unfriend some people and clean things up a bit. Got hundreds, thousands of friends? Really? How many are really your friend? This event started off as a stunt from TV late night host Jimmy Kimmel and now has turned into a real thing that is actually a good idea. Take some time today and clear out your friend lists. You'll end up seeing a lot less stuff you didn't really care about. Just please be sure to keep Fermentedly Challenged on your list - m'kay? Denver Beer Co (Denver) - In honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, join in this Thursday, November 20th for a Pie & Beer pairing with Denver Beer Co and Sugar Bakeshop and Coffee House. Ratio Beerworks (Denver) - There's news of another brewery targeting opening in the Five Points neighborhood near the start of Spring 2015 in Denver in the same location as the old Mile High Spirits. Ratio Beerworks is the brainchild of Jason zumBrunner (Wynkoop/AC Golden), Zach Lowery and Scott Kaplan. They will open up in the same area within a block or two of Our Mutual Friend and Epic Brewing. They will eventually do barrel-aged beers, some sours and package their own beers. Formerly called Reverie Brewing Co but changed due to naming conflicts with other businesses. [2920 Larimer St, Denver, CO]

2nd Annual American Craft Beer Radio Holiday Beer Bash (Denver) - Join American Craft Beer Radio on the evening of November 21st from 6-9pm (5pm VIP) at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum (yes, you will be drinking delicious beer around classic out-of-commission aircraft) for the 2nd Annual Holiday Beer Bash! Interact with the brewing industry first hand and sample hundreds of different seasonal and year-round offerings. 35 + featured breweries with unlimited sampling. LandLocked Ales (Denver metro) - Here's an update on the progress of this upcoming brewery direct from the ownership:"We are sad to inform you that the location that we had secured will no longer be ours. There were complications with the size of the water line that will not allow us to brew on our 7 barrel system. We are venturing on another tour of locations today and will keep you posted." A new location will be announced at a later time.

Former Future Brewing Co (Denver) - The brewery is expanding! Former Future will be more than doubling their capacity by early December. They've put down a deposit on a 15 bbl fermentor from Renegade Brewing Company and will be moving it in on December 4th. More beer coming your way soon. [1290 S Broadway, Denver, CO]

Mockery Brewing (Denver) - Get 15% all tabs on Mondays at Mockery Brewing. They will be open today from 3pm to 9pm and will have the MNF game on in the taproom. [3501 Delgany St, Denver, CO]

Station 26 Brewing Co (Denver) - Today they are pouring ten different beers including a Cherry Milk Stout and a Plum Dubbel. Colorado Pig Rig will be serving food outside the taproom tonight. Come eat pig and drink beer. [7045 E 38th Ave, Denver, CO]

Wonderland Brewing Co (Broomfield) - There's a new food truck on site each night Monday through Sunday Tonight is Geeks Who Drink Pub Quizzes at 7:30pm. On Tuesday, they'll host a singles ping pong tourney at 6:30pm. Wednesday brings a Brewhouse Cornhole Tourney at 6:30pm along with Lady Wednesday where ladies get $2 off pints all day. Kokopelli Beer Co (Westminster) - Get ready for the December 6th Chili Cook-off and Bake-off at the brewery. Bring in your best chili and best baked goods. The winner of each category will receive a 1 year mug club membership at Kokopelli that offers them discounted beers, special announcements and events and more! The cook-off will take place from 12pm to 4pm December 6th. All baked goods must have one of their beers as an ingredient (they will give you the beer to use - your choice).
