Metro Denver

Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project (Denver) - Crooked Stave has just recently acquired a lot more space at their old Barrel Cellar location on 46th Avenue and will be moving their brewhouse back to that location by early December. Their square footage at the Barrel Cellar is increasing from 3,000 to 12,000 sq. ft. This will free up their Tasting Room at The Source to expand to more seating and allow Crooked Stave to have more room for barrel aging and producing more beer. Barrel Cellar location: [1441 W 46th Ave, Unit 19, Denver, CO]

Lambics Against Leukemia (Denver) - There's a fundraiser going on right now aimed at benefiting a member of the craft beer community. Matt Meyer, the beer manager at Freshcraft has a young son, Owen, who's battling leukemia. Owen's going through a 3-year treatment plan to fight B Cell All Leukemia. To help fund Owen's lengthy and costly treatment, a series of raffles has been put together called Lambics Against Leukemia. Basically, for every $10 dollars given, donors receive an entry into a raffle to win beer. The beer has been generously donated from both private cellars, and multiple breweries including Crooked Stave, Casey Brewing and Blending, Dry Dock, and others. There's also a listing of the beers that'll be given away and there's pretty insane offerings up for grabs. The last day to donate and get entered into the raffle is Friday, November 28th. For more information on how you can contribute and enter the raffle, see the official details on Brewtally Insane's beer blog.

Dry Dock Brewing Co (Aurora) - [PRESS RELEASE] Dock Brewing Company is releasing its beloved Vanilla Porter in canned 6-packs. Celebrate the latest addition to the brewery’s canned offerings at the beer’s release party at Dry Dock’s new tasting room, Canoe Room at North Dock, on Friday, November 28 from 12pm to 6pm. Vanilla Porter was created by Dry Dock co-owner Kevin DeLange and first brewed in 2006 on the 7-barrel brewhouse in the original 800 square-foot tasting room and brewery, known to many now as “South Dock.” This beer is a classic English-style brown porter with more than a quarter pound of Madagascar vanilla beans added per barrel. It was an immediate hit— After winning a Gold Medal at the Colorado State Fair, Vanilla Porter was one of the first Dry Dock home fleet beers made available year-round. Dry Dock will celebrate the release of Vanilla Porter in cans on Friday, November 28 at Canoe Room at North Dock from 12pm to 6pm. Guests who purchase 6-packs to go will receive free Vanilla Porter koozies. Beginning in December, Dry Dock Vanilla Porter will be available in 6-packs, in 22-ounce bombers, and on draft in select bars and restaurants throughout Colorado.
