There's always something tasty on tap and Fermentedly Challenged has some tips on where you can try something new. Copper Kettle Brewing Co - January Coffee Beer Cask Month continues tomorrow at CKBC with the release of "Cascara" Charlie's Golden Strong. Come see what a bit of coffee will do for a beer. Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project - Crooked Stave has a plethora of beers on tap this week including 4 varieties of Vieille Artisanal Saison, 4 varieties of Surette Provision Saison, 4 varieties of St. Bretta 100% Brett, Colorado Wild Sage, Batch 100, 2 varieties of Petite Sour, 2 different Motif Dark Belgian Sours, Batch #4 Origins Burgundy sour, Leopold Bros Sentience Wild Quad, and Nightmare on Brett. Lost Highway Brewing Co - Today's special beer release - their O.G. Colfax Porter with coconut, almonds and vanilla bean paired with their Banoffee Pie - a graham cracker crust tart with salted caramel custard and bruleed bananas. Join them starting at 3pm! Wonderland Brewing Co - Calling all yogis and craft beer aficionados - you are welcome to join in this Saturday, January 17th from 3:30 - 4:30pm for their first installment of Crafty Yogis with Nikki Sutton. Dry Dock Brewing (South) - Dry Dock is releasing one of their popular brews at 10am on Wednesday, January 14th! Don't miss the tapping of their Poor Richard's Ale in honor of Ben Franklin's 309th birthday anniversary this weekend. Then, mark your calendars for February 1st and February 14th. Gunbarrel Brewing Co - While this brewery, targeted for the Boulder County area, is still not open for business, that's not stopping them from releasing some test beers. Coming up on Saturday, January 24th at 4:30pm - Gunbarrel Brewing Company will tap two beers over at Grandma's House (brewery) in Denver. The first beer is a Salt Lick Gose and the second beer is called Rosemerry Pale Ale. Both are very limited and won't last long. Check them out! Look for word on a possible location and opening estimate in the weeks to come.

DD's Home Brew Supplies - Ever since Juice of the Barley shut it's doors in Greeley a few months ago, the city of Greeley has been without a homebrew supply shop. That is until now. Real Ale Real Love Firkin Festival - Real Ales Real Love Firkin Festival is northern Colorado’s first Firkin Festival! Loveland Colorado’s breweries, Grimm Brothers and Verboten Brewing have teamed up with Best Western Plus Crossroads Inn & Conference Center to host a special firkin & cask event January 24, 2015 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. This unique festival showcase one off beers by the best local breweries in Northern Colorado. This will be a smaller more intimate beer festival with representatives from the brewing community - over 28 breweries pouring so far. High Hops Brewery - Winter is the perfect time to learn how to homebrew your own beer. Sign up for a Home Brew Class at High Hops set for Saturday, January 31st from 10am to 2pm. This introductory class will walk you through all the basics. Tickets are $20 and includes a free pint of beer. Get tickets at the brewery or in the garden shop. Meanwhile, back in the brewery - there will be a firkin release tomorrow (Wed. Jan. 14th) at 5pm. Stop in to try their Abbey and a Half. Berthoud Brewing Co - Now open on Tuesdays 2-9pm! If you fill your growler on Tuesday get a free pint. This Friday, January 16th is Fig Newton Day and in honor of that they have brewed up a special firkin - Fig Brewton! This fig-infused ale will be tapped at 5pm Friday. Horse & Dragon Brewing Co - Look for H&D to be at the upcoming Real Ale Real Love Firkin Festival in Loveland on January 24th. They will be bringing their "Cow Faced Killer" in their firkin. And in other news, the brewery just happily received two large Jack Daniels barrels and will be filling it up with something special that will age for a few months. Black Bottle Brewery - "Mom! The Meatloaf" sour ale is available today both on draft and in bottles. Come get some while you can.
