Rockyard Brewing Co - This week's Jellyman's Deviation beer will be released on Friday at 4pm. Come try their brew "Deviationalism", a wild pumpkin saison made with Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus and Pediococcus. It has the aroma and taste of a fruity herbal citrus tea and with tart and tangy edges. The pumpkin gives a mellow ride to the slight peppery finish. A big one weighing in at 8% ABV. Nighthawk Brewery - A reminder that Colorado's newest brewery will open for business TOMORROW, January 23, 2015 at 11am in Broomfield, CO. Come help welcome them into the Colorado craft beer scene. They'll be open from 11am to 10pm Friday & Saturday, Sundays 11am-8pm, Mon-Wed 3pm-9pm and Thurs 3pm-10pm. Located at: [2780 Industrial Lane, Broomfield, CO]

Demon Spawn Ale Works - Yesterday, the owners, Doug & Ann Westphal, signed a temporary lease on their new brewery building. The keys are in hand and now are starting the long journey towards opening a brewery in Aurora, Colorado. No word on possible opening date yet, best bet would be Summer 2015 at the earliest. Barrels & Bottles Brewery - Fundraisers, live music and a Special Tapping of their Tequila Barrel-aged Saison. Who could ask for more? Lowdown Brewery + Kitchen - They have a new handcrafted brew on tap at Lowdown! Come try their India Brown Ale, or the “Ale-exir” since they believe it is a magical liquid that can cure illness and extend life. The flavor has a deep, chocolatey maltiness, but is plenty hoppy and bitter from loads of Cascade and Centennial Hops. Also, look for new and exciting menu items! Former Future Brewing Co - Their First Anniversary Celebration is happening next weekend - Friday, January 30th through Sunday, February 1st. Special themes each day. Funkwerks - The brewery is releasing a new small batch beer tomorrow. Pale Ryder is a Belgian Rye Pale Ale. This brew weighs in at 6.4% ABV. They wanted to brew a beer that was spicy and burly like Clint Eastwood. Brewed with 40 percent malted Rye to give ample amounts of rye character with a thick and smooth mouth feel. They added a host of fruit forward hops to balance out the spiciness of the rye and to compliment the Belgian yeast strain. Notes of peach, passion fruit, pepper and pumpernickel. Mountains and West

Mancos Brewing Co - This tiny 15 gallon nano-brewery quietly opened for business back in October 2014, but just now came to the attention of this blog. They offer a wide variety of small batch beers - just 15 gallons at a time. They are located in the small town of Mancos just west of Durango and east of Cortez, Colorado. Bottom Shelf Brewery - Another new brewery opened last August in Bayfield, Colorado. Bottom Shelf Brewery started out as a restaurant in October 2013 and later added a brewery to their operation. They poured their first beers in late August 2014. They were off the Fermentedly Challenged radar until just now. They are located east of Durango in Bayfield.
