Colorado Beer NewsSnow Day! Beer doesn't stop flowing here in Colorado just because of a few inches of wet thick snow. We just know it will be gone in no time and hit 60 degrees again by the weekend. Still, if you want to get out of the cold and head into your favorite local craft brewery - you'll want to know what's the latest on tap and upcoming. Here's what's happening around the Colorado craft beer scene today Wednesday, February 4th, 2015. If you aren't reading this article on, you don't know what you're missing.

Rockyard Brewing Co - February is Stout Month at Rockyard Brewing. All month long they will be serving the following stouts: Lighting Strike Oatmeal Stout, Lighting Strike NITRO, and New Memphis Black Stout Chili Ale. In addition, Jellyman will be serving a few Deviations non-stop while they last: "Kimbo 2.0" Russian Imperial Stout, "Fluff Monster" Smoked Russian Imperial Stout with Marshmallow Fluff and Cognac Aged French Oak. Lone Tree Brewing Co - LTBC is planning to release a strong Scotch ale (aka a Wee Heavy) coming up on Wednesday, February 18th at 12:00pm. In the 19th century Scotland, they'd also be known as 160/-, a nomenclature based on the now obsolete shilling currency. You'll want to try this big 8%+ ABV brew! Beryl's Beer Co - T-minus 2 days until their release of Logan's Lager, their new coffee schwarzbier. They say it's going to be an amazing beer so you better be there on Friday to get some. Also they will be releasing their first Stout this Friday. It's a big Imperial Stout that they say will leave you wanting more. Then in another week on Friday the 13th they will release the barrel aged version of that same stout. It's been aging in Fireside bourbon barrels from Mile High Spirits Distillery. Mockery Brewing - Don't forget, trivia is tonight at 7pm with Geeks Who Drink Pub Quizzes! Mockery Brewing will be doing a special raffle giveaway for trivia participants. Parry's Pizza - Parry's will be opening their fifth location this April in Northglenn, Colorado at the southeast corner of I-25 and 120th Ave. They plan to have around 120 beers on tap at this new location!!! Gunbarrel Brewing Co - This Saturday, February 7th, the throngs of Gunbarrel Brewing Co fans will once again descend upon Grandma's House in Denver to tap some pre-opening brews. Gunbarrel Brewing will be tapping Touch of Grey Blonde and also Fresh Baked Stout. They tap at 4:30pm. The Bakin' Bakery Food Truck will also be on hand. Echo Brewing Co (Frederick) - It's Firkin Wednesday and they have Echo Helles conditioned with grapes and oak soaked in chardonnay available at both Frederick and Echo Brewing - Erie locations. Happy Hour is 2:30-6pm and Chaulkboard Gourmet Express is scheduled 4:30-8pm and is offering dollar Tacos for Happy Hour 4:30-6pm.

300 Suns Brewing - Tomorrow, Thursday February 5th, 300 Suns is excited to have Jack hadley playing live music from 6-8pm. Avery Brewing Co - This is the last week that you can enjoy an Avery beer at the old alley location. They are shutting down, packing up and moving to their new location. Monday, February 9th is the day they will shut the old taproom with a farewell party including special tappings and live music. Then on Monday, February 16th at 3pm they will open their doors at their new location at 4910 Nautilus Court in Boulder, CO. They will have 30 beers on tap at the new location and a new restaurant with a full dining menu as well. Northern Colorado

Snowbank Brewing Co - Today is yet another snow day! Enjoy the frigid temperatures since tomorrow it will be back to spring-like weather. Since it snowed, they're giving a dollar off pints of Silent Snow WIPA all day! This will likely be the last special you see on this beer that is the staff favorite since it will soon be going into hibernation and not returning until next winter. Come grab a pint while you can! Tomorrow night, Thursday, February 5th, they have Canyon Collected in the taproom playing live music from 6pm until 8pm. Bring in your dinner, your friends and a game of your choice and enjoy the tunes. FYI - their musicians are paid in beer and tips, so feel free to be generous! City Star Brewing - Beer Release This Week! Aces and Eights tapping at City Star this Saturday 2/7 at noon! This Imperial Red Ale is dry hopped with Sorachi Ace hops and weighs in at 8.7% ABV and 125 IBU. Aces and Eights were the cards reportedly held by Old West gunfighter Wild Bill Hickok when he was murdered at the poker table. This seasonal ale pays homage to their building's history: during its 100 years The City Star Barn allegedly changed hands twice during local poker games. No bluffing there, this brew is a sure bet!
