Avery Brewing Co - The big move is happening next week. Monday, February 9th is the last day at the old alley location. They will open up at their new location on February 16th. And one of the first release parties at the new location will be the release of Batch No. 4 of Uncle Jacob's Stout (16.9% ABV). Avery will begin selling bottles of Uncle Jacob's Stout at 11am. Each bottle is $12 and there is a limit of 1 case (24 bottles) per person. Beers will be flowing from their 30-tap wall, both into pint glasses and into growlers! Jacob Spears, their 6th Great Grand Uncle, is credited as the first distiller to label his whiskey “Bourbon.” He built his distillery in Bourbon County Kentucky in 1790 — 203 years before Avery began brewing. While obviously a bit too late to produce Uncle Jacob’s wash, they've instead created something far more complex. In his honor, they present this robust, silky smooth, full-bodied and altogether extremely American rendition of an Imperial Stout aged for 6 months in the very finest Bourbon barrels. This explains a lot about their penchant for big brews! It’s in their blood! [4910 Nautilus Ct, Boulder, CO]
