Crystal Springs Brewing Co - The 13th of February is coming up next week – oh yeah! Of course that means its time for this month’s 13th of the month party. And, even better, its Friday the 13th. Of course that means they'll be releasing another new beer - a bourbon barrel aged coffee black IPA made with coffee from their neighbors, Paul’s Coffee and Tea (paulscoffeeandtea.com). It's going to be a great time and, since Mardi Gras is just around the corner, they thought they’d incorporate a little of the Mardi Gras spirit as well. Just a reminder that they will be having a new release party on the 13th of every month from now on. Each month they will release a new beer apropo to the season or the month and, of course, they'll need to have an event to celebrate the new releases! Even though it is a ways off, please mark the date – May 13, 2015. That day is their Fifth Anniversary and it is right in the middle of Craft Beer Week. [657 S Taylor Ave, Unit E, Louisville, CO]

Zwei Bruder Brewing - First off, they're planning a tribute to the German tradition of Karneval, known in other countries as Carnival or Mardi Gras. This tradition of merriment and self-indulgence before the Lenten fast has always held double meaning for us. Yes, there is the religious aspect, but the notion they're focusing on is the winding down of winter and eyeing the coming of spring. The Zwei Karneval celebration will be happening on Tuesday, February 17th at 3:00pm. For this, they will be releasing a Dopple Weizenbock, the yet to be named Double IPA, and the second in their Dry Hopped Pils series. The Karneval Event will be host to a groovy 3-piece Bluegrass band called the "Hicksters", and the Taps Food Truck will be kicking out some swell Cajun-inspired vittles. The next major shenanigan in queue, will be the Zwei May Day celebration, with the release of their Maibock, the raising of the Zwei May Pole, and with any luck the return of Neue Polka Colorado. For those of you that made it to their Oktoberfest celebration and their Nachtbierfest you know the band, for those that didn’t, hang on for a darn good time, they rock the brass right off their tubas. In the nearer future, they will be releasing or have released some other beers, they'd like to tell you about. New on tap: Englisch (a Maltastic Brown Ale) and Trunk (American IPA). Next week: Can I get a Harrumph? (Pale Ale). In the works: they're planning on an employee series of beers, they have some swell new growler fill rewards cards coming on line in the next few weeks. Lastly, they have teamed up with their Brewing friends along the Mason street corridor and Transfort to bring you the MAX beer tour card. [4612 S Mason St, Ste 120, Ft. Collins, CO]

Odell Brewing Co - Some folks refer to the color of Fool's Gold as Brazzle, a radiant hue much like the golden raspberry. A rare find and a unique treat, these tiny nuggets are sweet and juicy. Brazzle Sour Golden Raspberry is aged in oak barrels with wild yeasts and 300 pounds of golden raspberries. Don't be fooled by the bubbly light mouthfeel and delicate raspberry sweetness, there's a subtle tartness that is not quite sour enough to make you pucker, but will prickle the back of your tongue leaving a crisp and refreshing finish. Tap Room release party for Brazzle is February 27th - March 1st. Available on draft and in 750ml corked bottles. [800 E Lincoln Ave, Ft. Collins, CO]

Grimm Brothers Brewhouse - Did you get a taste of their new beer "Charles the Great" German Belgo Blonde on Saturday? Still plenty on tap. Plus, this week on the 14th Grimm Bros will tap a Tequila Dos Grios Vienna Lager aged in Tequila barrels. You can also look forward to the release of "Bearskin", an Irish Dry Stout on February 28th. [623 Denver Ave, Loveland, CO]

City Star Brewing - Plan to attend the 3rd Annual City Star Chocolate & Beer Pairing this Saturday, February 14th (Valentine's Day) anytime from 12pm to 10pm. The self-guided pairing includes 5 beers (4oz tasters) paired with 5 local craft chocolates for $20. Share or enjoy it all yourself. Pairings are limited so reserve yours today at: citystarbrewing.com/events/valentines - Also - don't forget that today is Growler Fill Monday when you pay for a growler fill you'll also get a free token for a pint to be used anytime. [321 Mountain Ave, Berthoud, CO]

Abundant Waters LTD - This small little production-only brewery (no taproom) that's just been open for about a year has decided to close shop. They had produced and bottled a few beers, but have stopped production. This closure marks the 2nd brewery to announce it's closure in 2015. Their Facebook page simply stated: "Sorry all we are closed". [2015 2nd Ave, Ste 1, Greeley, CO]

Funkwerks - What are you doing for Valentines Day? How about a Chocolate & beer pairing. They got together with Nuance Chocolate today and put together a delicious pairing. $12 for a flight of 5 chocolates to pair with 5 beers. Reserve your spot by emailing them at feedback@funkwerks.com. Seats will be limited. [1900 E Lincoln Ave, Ft. Collins, CO]
