SUDS for SIDS Beer Fest - The 3rd Annual SUDS for SIDS event set for Friday, February 20th from 6pm to 10pm at Mile High Station in Denver will host a collection of Colorado craft breweries coming together to support Angel Eyes. Event attendees will have access to unlimited samples of various craft beers from some of Colorado’s finest microbreweries. There will be live music provided by Hipster Mama Productions, a silent auction and other fun activities. Beer style appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages are available at the event at no cost. Big Choice Brewing - There's going to be a Small Batch tapping tomorrow, February 11th. Nathaniel has brewed a 10 gallon batch of "Here it Gosegan (pronounced goes-uh-gan)" - A Gose (Gos-uh) is an obscure beer style, which is slightly salty and slightly sour - theirs replaces coriander with lime infused sea salt and lime zest. Dry Dock Brewing Co - 2014 Year in Review [PRESS RELEASE] In 2014, Dry Dock Brewing Company achieved “Regional Brewery” status by producing more than 15,000 barrels of beer out of its two facilities in Aurora, Colorado. Last year Dry Dock opened a new tasting room, Canoe Room, at its North Dock production facility, released five new barrel-aged, large format beers in the Signature Series, took home a World Beer Cup® for its flagship Apricot Blonde Ale, and won two Great American Beer Festival® medals for Apricot Blonde and S.S. Minnow Mild Ale. Also of note, the brewery debuted Apricot Blonde in canned 12-packs and its Vanilla Porter in canned 6-packs, brewed a fresh hop ale with Colorado’s senators, won a 2014 Colorado Companies to Watch award, and received federal permission to print a beer label featuring the American flag on its Colorado Freedom Memorial Blonde Ale. Dry Dock’s South Dock facility brewed more than 1500 barrels of beer in 2014, while the North Dock production facility brewed 15,000 barrels of Dry Dock and Steamworks Brewing’s beer (approximately 13,000 barrels of Dry Dock and 2,000 barrels of partner brewery Steamworks beer). Surpassing the 15,000 barrel mark qualifies Dry Dock as a Regional Brewery, which according to the Brewers Association is a brewery with an annual beer production of between 15,000 and 6,000,000 barrels. In September 2014, Dry Dock opened a new tasting room, Canoe Room, at its North Dock facility located at 2801 Tower Road Aurora, Colorado 80011. Available at Canoe Room are Dry Dock’s canned home fleet beers Apricot Blonde, Amber Ale, Hefeweizen, Hop Abomination, and Vanilla Porter, as well as four taps for rotating, seasonal beers. Renegade Brewing Co - Renegade Brewing announces 2nd out-of-state market [PRESS RELEASE] Renegade Brewing Company, based out of Denver, is ready to announce a new state for distribution. In just their fourth year of operation, Renegade has built a production facility which has allowed them to extend distribution to Kansas and now Nebraska. Until June of 2014, Renegade was self-distributed and built their brand across the front range. As their cans, Redacted Rye IPA, Elevation Triple IPA, and 5:00 Afternoon Ale grew in popularity the brewery looked to expand their can options as well as their distribution. In June Renegade started distributing in Colorado through Elite Brands. Soon after they launched new year-round cans, Consilium Pale Ale and Hiatus Cold Coffee-Infused Oatmeal Ale. In December Renegade signed on with Worldwide Wine and Spirits out of Lenexa, Kansas as their first out-of-state distributor. On February 4, Renegade signed a contract to distribute in Nebraska through Johnson Brother's Distribution. Johnson Brothers distributes other great Colorado brands such as Ska, Breckenridge, Great Divide, and Odell. Renegade products will be available in the state starting the week of March 30. Throughout that week, residents of Omaha and Lincoln will be able to attend events at bars and restaurants to celebrate Renegade's entrance into the market. During this time, Renegade will be introducing a new seasonal can to all markets. Contrarian Imperial Pilsner will hit shelves in Colorado in mid-March and enter Kansas and Nebraska soon after. Freshcraft - Looking for a way to get up to the Grand Opening of Avery Brewing Company new brewery? Come down to Freshcraft and catch a ride on the Free Shuttle running from 4pm-11pm on Monday, February 16th. Space is limited so arrive early, grab a beer and a bite to eat and head up to Avery to celebrate the opening of their brand new Brewery. They will be tapping a bunch of awesome beers at Freshcraft including: Tweak, Rumpkin, Lilikoi Kepolo, Collaboration not Litigation, Maharaja, plus a few more if you're lucky! The shuttle will be running roughly every 2 hours at each location so 4pm, 6pm, and 8pm from Freshcraft and 5pm, 7pm, 9pm, and 11pm from Avery. Times may vary depending on traffic. Freshcraft and Avery Brewing are not responsible for you missing the bus. Please plan accordingly. There is limited seating on each trip and its first come first serve. Jagged Mountain Craft Brewery - It's time to release another new beer. Today they're tapping "Grizzly Peak Session Porter. It's easily their most sessionable beer they have on tap weighing in at just 3.8% ABV. Expect to see a barrel-aged cocoa version of this beer in the not too distant future. River North Brewery - [PRESS RELEASE] River North Brewery is continuing its partnership with Be the Change Volunteers (BTCV), an organization that builds schools in remote areas around the world. To celebrate breaking ground on Phase 3 of BTCV’s Bihar India School Project, the brewery will donate 50% of all taproom sales of River North IPA, their Belgian-style India Pale Ale, during the month of February. These proceeds will help to fund BTCV’s next major project in Malawi. River North Founders Matt and Jessica Hess both believe in the need for education for all. “I am very fortunate to have had the educational opportunities that enabled me to get where I am today,” Matt said. “Jess and I believe that every person on the planet deserves the right to a quality education. High Hops Brewery - This Saturday at High Hops is the 3rd Annual Firkin Fest from 12pm to 8pm.
