Two22 Brew - Has it been a year already? Two22 Brew is celebrating their 1st year anniversary this Saturday, February 21 all day long with hour releases of your favorite beers from the last year. Beers expected include: Patio Peach, Boo! 22, Hefeweizen, Imperial Melon IPA, Saison, Abbey, White IPA, and a Chocolate Porter. Lowdown Brewery + Kitchen - Speaking of anniversaries... It’s time to celebrate at Lowdown Brewery! Thursday February 12th- Its thirsty Thursday! Come on down and enjoy a few pints along with some spud love from Spudwhackers Food Truck. They will also have the Colorado Avalanche VS. New York Rangers game on! Nothing better than some craft brews and hockey. Friday February 13th- Its Comedy night at the brewery! Local comics and local beer! This is a show you don't want to miss, Steve Vanderploeg is hosting and Adam Clayton Holland is headlining! Wheels on Fire Pizza Truck will be slinging pies all night and the Denver Comics Pale Ale will also be making its debut. Saturday February 14th- Happy Valentines day everyone! Großen Bart Brewery - Looking for a Valentine's Day treat? Stop in at Großen Bart Brewery that day and partake in their special beer/food pairing event. Left Hand Brewing Co - Get your running shoes ready! Last November Left Hand Brewing and Shoes & Brews hosted their first 5K event! It was such a success, they are looking forward to hosting a 5K each spring (called the Longmont CollaBEERation 5K) and fall (called the Longmont Sole Mates 5K). The next event will be scheduled for Saturday, April 11th at 11AM. Just like last year, the race is open to all ages, starts at Left Hand Brewing and the finishes at Shoes & Brews. Left Hand will be providing complimentary limo service between the two locations in their Wake Up Dead limo, each participants will receive a race bag including a custom 20oz insulated Polar water bottle to commemorate the race, a celebratory end-of-the-race beer, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Left Hand Brewing foundation (! Backcountry Pizza and Tap House - THIS JUST IN... Pliny the Younger, is happening this Sunday! Doors open at 10 am, tapping will be at noon. 1 Ticket for $10 = 1 Ten Ounce pour of Russian River's highly anticipated Triple IPA. They sold out of tickets last year before the tapping, so they are not expecting there to be second pours. On the plus side though, it's supposed to be a beautiful day this time around! Grimm Brothers Brewhouse - Grimm Brothers is hosting a fundraiser event next Wednesday, February 18th from 5pm to 8pm to help raise money to help support three young girls who lost their mom earlier this year through issues with depression and Dystonia disease. $1 from every pint purchased between 5-8pm that night will be donated to the "Madi, Alex & Anna Memorial Fund". These girls will be raised by their father Aaron who is a self-employed carpenter. Funkwerks - Have you tried their new Bourbon Barrel Aged Quad yet? It was released on January 31st and is a Belgian-style Quadrupel that ages in bourbon barrels for a year. It weighs in at 11.5% ABV and had a dry finish, perfect for enjoying on a cold winter evening. Coming up on Saturday, February 21st, Funkwerks will release "Belgian Stout", a Belgian-style ale. They took a traditional oatmeal stout recipe and brewed it with an experimental Belgian Stout yeast. This delightful beer 6% ABV brew has a rich chocolate nose with a modest roasty element. Notes of dark chocolate are expressed throughout the flavor, with hints of caramel and dark fruit. The oatmeal gives it a silky smooth mouth-feel, finishing slightly sweet without being cloying with little to no bitterness. Snowbank Brewing Co - More details for this Saturday's Valentine's Day party at the brewery! Starting at noon, they'll be tapping a different chocolate beer every two hours - noon, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. You have all day to make it over and try at least one, if not all, of their most popular Nuance Chocolate infused stouts. The infusions we'll have available - Cranknstein Chocolate Stout, Chocolate Covered Cherry Stout, Mexican Chocolate Stout and S'mores Stout. Umami Mobile Eatery will be catering, serving up their gourmet Asian fusion cuisine as well as a specialty dessert made specifically for the day. Snowbank willl be offering a dollar off pints of Colorado Red with any purchase from the food truck.
