The end result was so delicious, they decided to recreate it! Plus, notes of lemon zest and tart raspberries. Come try this Gold Medal winning beer. Also now available: Barrel-Aged Brett Trois, a bbl-aged Belgian Brett Ale. This barrel-aged experiment was originally one of Funkwerks’ first and only primary Brettanomyces-only fermentation. A large amount of Galaxy, Rakau, and Crystal hops were added toward the end of the boil and for the dry hop addition, contributing to the tropical fruit flavors and aromas. They wanted to experiment with the wild yeast and Brett yeast by putting it in red wine barrels. Tasting notes: bright tropical fruit aroma, white grape like character, slight tart pineapple and a hint of vanilla. [1900 E Lincoln Ave, Ft. Collins, CO]
