Colorado Beer NewsIt's almost the weekend! Are you ready? Why not start the weekend off 1 day early and head to your favorite Northern Colorado taproom tonight. There's plenty going on mid-week and Fermentedly Challenged know of some of the specials going on. Plus there's some festivals coming up that you'll want to be a part of. Read on and find out where your next beer is coming from. Always something new on tap in NoCo.

Boulder County

12 Degree Brewing has announced the release of their latest beer creation yesterday - F√ľnke Blanc is their take on a golden ale. What makes this beer stand out is that they aged this one in Sauvignon Blanc wine barrels for some subtle brett, French oak and wine tones. Limited supply so don't wait long to try it as it will go fast. Located at: 820 Main St, Louisville, CO.

Bootstrap Brewing wants you to start planning for the weekend. They've got two great music groups lined up. On Friday starting at 6:30pm come rock out with Beast of Burden. Then on Saturday starting at 6pm, listen to the soulful rock sounds of The Nick Willis Band. Then use the rest of your weekend to practice up for Monday's Open Mic Night and all day Hoppy Hour prices. Located at: 6778 N 79th Street, Niwot, CO.

Boulder Beer Company asks - Looking to do something fun in July? Sign up for their upcoming Hops & Huts event, a craft beer-inspired hut-to-hut hiking tour set for July 19-22, 2016. You'll explore the 10th Mountain Division Trail System and wind down each hiking day with some refreshing beers from Boulder Beer Co led by their Director of Fun. Grossen Bart Brewery will host their annual Longmont Mane Event celebrating facial hair, great beer, good food and awesome music at the brewery on Saturday, July 23rd from 2pm to 8pm. Come out for a fun filled day celebrating beards, mustaches, beer and more. There will be a beard and mustache competition from 4-5pm that day. It's open to the public. Live music will play from 2-8pm. Tickets for the event are $5/advance or $8 at the door. Located at: 1025 Delaware Avenue, Longmont, CO.

Odd13 Brewing is hosting an event at the brewery this Saturday from 1pm to 4pm along with the folks at Mile High Dachshunds Rescue. There will be Dachshund fun and games, prizes and giveaways, great Odd13 beer, French Twist food truck and even dogs available to cuddle and adopt. Located at: 301 E Simpson St, Lafayette, CO.

Sanitas Brewing is hosting a food truck tonight featuring heady tacos from McDevitt Taco Supply. Wash 'em down with a tasty Sanitas brew. Also, look for Sanitas Brewing to be hosting their 3rd Annual Sanitas Fest on June 18th. This fest combines the best of local music and Sanitas brews for a fun day in the sun celebrating local, craft beer, live music, good food, and Colorado's epic outdoor scene. This year's fest will feature tunes by The Hop Pickers, Musketeer Gripweed, The Drunken Hearts and DJ Z-STaaR. Also new this year, there will be a Brewhouse Yoga class with Jenna Bee Yoga and a La Sportiva 5K Fun Run prior to the Sanitas Fest start time. Earn those calories, then spend the rest of your day taking in some of the most beautiful views of Boulder's landscape along with great tunes and some damn fine beers! Shoes & Brews invites you to put on your running shoes and participate in tonight's weekly social run starting at the store at 6pm. There will be demos from Pearl Izumi as well. Work up a thirst! Located at: 63 S Pratt Pkwy, Unit B, Longmont, CO.

Snowbank Brewing will be a participant in tonight's Thursday Tasting night over at Old Chicago Harmony in Fort Collins from 5pm to 7pm. Stop by and say hello to the Snowbank crew and enjoy a pint of their Cranknbrew Coffee Pale or a special keg of their Chocolate SchwarzDog made just for tonight. Wibby Brewing is releasing their first ever Double India Pale Lager (DIPL) - Ted IPL. This one weighs in at a hefty 10% ABV and 100 IBUs. It's scheduled to debut on Tuesday, June 14th at 3pm in the Wibby taproom. They hopped this one with Crystal, Cascade, Chinook, Pacifica, Glacier and Nugget hops. Upslope Brewing Company - A quick note that you should look for Upslope's limited release of their Thai Style White IPA in cans this summer. Look for the yellow can at liquor stores near you. Taproom #1: 1898 S Flatiron Ct, Boulder, CO.

Vindication Brewing Company will host Open Mic night tonight. Sign-ups start at 6pm. Come wow the crowd with your voice or simply enjoy a beer made with Brewtegrity® and listen in. Located at: 6880 Winchester Circle, Boulder, CO.


Larimer County

Big Beaver Brewing Company is gearing up for the 5th Annual Running of the Wieners Dachshund Race set for this Saturday, June 11th at 245 S. Madison Avenue in Loveland, CO. And now you can gear up too with a t-shirt for the event. $10 T-shirts now available at the brewery. Wear one proudly while your wiener dog races to glory. No dog? Funkwerks announces their latest beer release set for this Saturday, June 11th - Galaxy, a single hopped Saison-style ale. Available both in 750ml bottles to go and on draft at the brewery. Here's their description: "Brewing single hopped Saisons gives us the opportunity to focus on the unique qualities of one hop and accentuate the best characteristics of that single ingredient. Galaxy hops are known for their tropical fruit flavors, so we added passion fruit juice, just for fun! Notes of passion fruit with a slight spice." ABV: 8.3%. Next up, another release set for Saturday, June 25th - Saison, a Belgian-style ale. Also on draft and in 750ml bottles. Description: "We took a batch of our Great American Beer Festival gold-medal winning flagship Saison and let it age in red wine barrels. The oak smooths the effervescence and spice notes of the Saison while amplifying the fruit characteristics. Notes of citrus fruits, red wine and oak." ABV 7.2%. - Plus, they now have a new seasonal available now - Dry Hopped Provincial, a Belgian-style sour ale on tap and in 4-packs. ABV 4.2%. Always something brewing at Funkwerks. Gilded Goat Brewing Company is looking to hire a few good people to work at their upcoming brewery that is scheduled to open in September. Grimm Brothers Brewhouse wants you to mark your calendars for Friday & Saturday, July 22-23 for their big Grimm Brothers 6th Anniversary celebration. They'll be hosting a Pig Roast on Friday. The $45 Pig Roast tickets ($80 for two) will include food, beer and access to specialty release beers. Lots of games and live music in the parking lot too. Then on Saturday the 23rd there'll be more special beer releases games, live music and giveaways, but food and beer are not included as Kiwanis is doing food from Bull and Boar. Intersect Brewing is another step closer to opening this summer. They just completed installation of their tanks and brewhouse yesterday which means beer production isn't far behind. Stay tuned for more news on their opening. Will be located at: 2160 W Drake Rd, Ste A-1, Fort Collins, CO.

New Belgium Brewing - If you hurry over to New Belgium tonight from 4-6pm you can catch their brewmaster Peter Bouckaert and brewing legend Dick Cantwell and participate in a book signing event for their collaborative book: "Wood & Beer: A Brewer's Guide". They'll be signing copies and perhaps even sampling and talking about some rare brews. Location: 500 Linden St, Fort Collins, CO.

Odell Brewing Company invites you to be amongst the first to try their new year round release tonight. Drumroll, an unfiltered American Pale Ale that's described as "juicy, bold, and tropically hop-forward". This brew will be available at Lucky Joe's, Trail Head Tavern, Steak-Out Saloon, Blind Pig Fort Collins, High Point Bar, Surfside 7, Tony's Btar, Town Pump est. 1909, The Poudre Keg. Starting at 5:00pm, look for the Odell crew out and about sharing this brew. At 8:30pm, join in at the Aggie Theatre in FoCo for a free concert from Atomga! No tickets needed! Pateros Creek Brewing Company just tapped "7th Inning Stretch" and "Dr. Sativus Cucumber Sour" today. Call 'em your craft leisure beers. Stop in to try 'em. Also, don't forget about their 5th Anniversary Party this Saturday, June 11th from 2-7pm. There will be live music featuring Amy and the Peace Pipes and Clark Street Station, food from Kolaveri Chicken, and several "crazy" Outlaw beer tappings such as: Pasil Beach, Peanut Brittle Red, Sleeping Elephant, and Oreo Porter. Soul Squared Brewing Company - While there's no taproom for this brewery, they do put out beers to select stores and locations around NoCo. The brewery recently release a new India Brown Ale. The hops and malts are equally featured in this version with a decidedly Indian twist. Grab one at your favorite NoCo store or ask for it. Brewed in Fort Collins, CO.


Weld County

Brix Taphouse & Brewery believes that Thursdays are the new Fridays at the taproom. Why wait for Friday to live it up a little? Come tonight for great craft beer selection and Trivia Night. Bring a team and compete. Tonight's Cowbell theme is "Beer & Wine". The fun starts at 7pm, but you can come early anytime from 2pm to close and enjoy a drink out on their patio. Broken Plow Brewery is hosting Open Mice Night every Thursday night from 7-9pm. Don Graham is your host for all musicians. You can even bring your instrument and jam with other musicians. Show us what talent you've got! Seats fill up quick so get there early. Then stop back on Friday and Saturday nights from 7-9pm for Live Music and craft beer. Enjoy a brew out on their patio. Crabtree Brewing Company invites boardgamers to their Saturday Game Nights from 7pm to midnight. Stop by and check in to play and you'll get $1 off pints of beer all night long. Beer Festivals of the Week

Inaugural Snowmass Rendezvous - Kick off the summer season with the inaugural Snowmass Rendezvous! Join in on June 11th for the ultimate beer festival as 50+ breweries take over Snowmass Village. Plan on enjoying three hours of hefty samples from dozens and dozens of Colorado craft breweries. $30 includes unlimited pours from 2pm- 5pm. 4th Annual Erie Brewfest - The fest runs this Saturday, June 11th. Located in Historic Downtown Erie on Briggs Street between Moffatt and Wells.
