The weekend is finally here and Mother Nature is cranking up the heat! You're gonna need a beer or two to keep cool this weekend. Crystal Springs Brewing Company is working with The Colorado Keg House (Broomfield) to brew up a special collaboration beer today. Stay tuned for details on this release. Front Range Brewing Company is hosting a weekend of live music and good craft beer. Tonight on the patio listen to live music with Rikki from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Liquid Mechanics Brewing Company has a new beer out today and they'd like your feedback on it. Try their new Tropical Sucka Punch, a hazy New England-style Pale Ale. It's described as juicy, hazy, with huge amounts of grapefruit, mango and citrus aroma and flavors. One growler fill per person limited. It taps at 4pm. Also, food available from Suburban Wiener. Odd13 Brewing - Hazy is the new trend in IPA's and Odd13 just released a batch of Barefoot Runaway, their El Dorado hopped hazy pale ale. It has an enormous fruity character and is very sessionable on a hot day like today. Located at: 301 E Simpson Street, Lafayette, CO.
RockMont - This summer music/beer festival is happening tomorrow, Saturday June 11th from 2pm to 10pm in Roosevelt Park in Longmont, CO. There will be plenty of live Indie Rock & Funk music, an art showcase, plus Longmont area brewery booths. Come celebrate the Colorado experience. Sponsored by Left Hand Brewing. City Star Brewing will be presenting a new taproom release today at 2:00pm - Raspberry Saison. This is a Belgian-style Saison brewed with rye and fermented with a generous portion of pureed raspberries from Oregon. Stats: 5.5% ABV and 17 IBU. You can also find this brew on tap at select venues including: Oskar Blues Homemade Liquids & Solids (Longmont), Amato's Ale House (Denver) and Lucky Pie (Louisville). Fort Collins Beer Week starts in a week and runs June 18-25, 2016. The entire town including all 20+ breweries will be celebrating with special events including The Brewers Olympics that kicks it all off at 12pm at Go West T-Shirt Company (1725 Heath Pkwy in FoCo). There will be a special collaboration brew tapped at that event too. Look for specials all over town all week long including lots of live music, special beer tappings and more.
Front Range Rally at Loveland Farmers Market - For those who attended the Front Range Rally beer fest in May, you know that there was a lot of great local craft beer being poured for a great cause - the support of the Food Bank for Larimer County. Now the festival is getting an extension at 4 upcoming Farmers Market events at Fairgrounds Park. Every Last Sunday of the month from June through September you can enjoy tasting local brews and some of the best food truck cuisine at the Farmers Market. Proceeds from sales of the beer and food will go to the Food Bank for Larimer County. June's featured breweries include: Crow Hop Brewing Co and Big Thompson Brewery. Brix Taphouse & Brewery invites you to come to downtown Greeley tonight for the start of the annual Greeley Blues Jam! Brix Taphouse will also feature live Blues tonight from 8:30pm to 11:30pm featuring Moses Walker & Ronnie Shellist. WeldWerks Brewing Company is also participating in the Greeley Blues Jam with free music from AJ Fullerton & Nic Clark in their taproom tonight. While they are out of their popular Juicy Bits IPA, they do have Steambarrel IPA available on draft and in crowlers. A new batch of Juicy Bits should be ready by the end of next week. Wiley Roots Brewing Company wants you to mark your calendars for Friday, July 8th from 7:30pm to 9:30pm for another in a series of Fireside Chats with brewmaster Kyle Carbaugh. This time the topic will be an Introduction to Cellar Aging Beer at Home. Which beer styles age best? How light and temperature affect aging of beer, alternative storage options, oxidation, and how long you can age a beer. Session is free with the purchase of a beer. North of the Border
21st Annual Wyoming Brewers Festival - While this isn't a Northern Colorado event, several NoCo breweries will be pouring at this annual beer fest in Cheyenne, just north of the Colorado border on Friday and Saturday night, June 17th & 18th at Cheyenne Depot Plaza. Taste over 100 different craft beers from more than 30 Wyoming and other regional brewers. Live music including the Taylor Scott Band on Saturday night. Tickets are $35 for either night in advance or $40 at the door. Weekend passes are available for $60. The fun begins at 5pm both nights and wraps up at 11 pm.
