Colorado Beer NewsThe weekend may be done but a new craft beer week here in Northern Colorado is just starting. There's already plans posted for this week from several breweries around the area. Some with some great specials you won't want to miss out on. Plus a new brewery opening this week! Fermentedly Challenged looks for the best news on all local NoCo breweries and sums it all up for you. From discounts, to trivia nights, to new tappings and more.

Here's what's happening around the Northern Colorado craft beer scene today, Monday, June 13th, 2016. If you aren't reading this article on, you don't know what you're missing.

Boulder County

300 Suns Brewing - In case you missed it yesterday, you'll want to mark your calendars for every Sunday of the month. That's when 300 Suns gives $2 off growler fills all day long. They put up a Salted Toffee Imperial Brown yesterday for fills - there may just be some left if you head over. Open til 9pm tonight. Located at: 335 1st Ave, Unit C, Longmont, CO.

Avery Brewing Company reminds you that this coming Sunday, June 19th marks the release of the next beer in their Barrel-Aged Series - No. 38 - Certatio Equestris, a sour ale aged in bourbon barrels with spearmint added. There were 1396 cases produced and bottle sales start at 11am Sunday. Limit 1 case person. What doesn't sell on Sunday will get distributed around 22 states. BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse is welcoming back your favorite and this time it's FREE. No, it's not a beer, but rather a Pizookie. Free Pizookie Day is tomorrow, Tuesday June 14th when you purchase food of at least $9.95. And why not wash that down with a beer made on site in their brewhouse. Bootstrap Brewing Company is planning a busy week. Tonight is Open Mic Night with Denny starting at 5pm along with Hoppy Hour prices all day long. Tuesday is Trivia Night with Dylan at 6:30pm. Wednesday night is a Euchre Tournament at 6pm. Friday brings in a new band - Bandits - starting at 7pm. And Saturday is their big 4th Anniversary Party. Live music that day from 2-4pm and 6-9pm with a Cornhole Tournament at 3pm, food, raffles, prizes and lots of fun. Sunday for Father's Day bring in your Dad and he gets $1 off pints! Crystal Springs Brewing Company currently has two beers available in 6-pack 12oz cans - an IPA and their Summertime Ale. Look for Naughty Marilyn Belgian-style Ale to be added in cans starting around June 22nd. Also, today is their monthly "13th of the Month Party" and they will be releasing a dry hopped amber ale "1319181". Today in the brewhouse they are brewing up owner Tom's son's recipes: "Bob's Cedar IPA". Look for it soon. Located at: 657 S Taylor Ave, Unit E, Louisville, CO.


Larimer County

1933 Brewing Company announces that their Summer Series Dance Nights are back by popular demand. Put on your dancing and drinking shoes and party with Queen Bee and the Stingers from 6pm to 9pm at the taproom. This month Dance Night is on June 18th. Other upcoming dance nights are: July 23, August 27, and September 24th. Bring a partner and let the music and beer move you! Located at: 4025 S Mason Street, Fort Collins, CO.

Big Thompson Brewery is offering 50% OFF Growler Fills all day today til 9:00pm. If you've got a case of the Mondays then stocking up on beer might just make your Monday night better. Located at: 114 E 15th Street, Loveland, CO.

Black Bottle Brewery is offering discounts on tasting packages for the upcoming Colorado Brewers' Festival set for June 25th & 26th in downtown Fort Collins, CO. Avoid the lines the day of the fest and buy early and get $10 off! Package includes a commemorative Govino "Go-Anywhere" 16oz beer glass and 10 taster tickets redeemable for beer. City Star Brewing will host a special Trivia night this Wednesday. Not only will the winners get $20 in beer but also a pair of tickets to the Brewery Dogs Beer Tasting at the Hops & Harley Fest in Fickel Park on June 25th! Fun will start Wednesday at 7:30pm. Funkwerks announces that today they are pouring their new "Galaxy" single-hopped saison made with passion fruit juice. Yum! Don't forget live music in the taproom this Friday starting at 6pm with the Josh Gonzales Band. Located at: 1900 E Lincoln Ave, Unit B, Fort Collins, CO.

Grimm Brothers Brewhouse not only makes fine German-style beers, but they also can help you speak German as well. Every 3rd Thursday of the month at Grimm Bros they will host "Deutsche Nacht Stammtisch". Both novices or pros speaking German are welcome to participate. And if you join in you'll get $1 off pints. The get-together happens this Thursday June 16th from 6-8pm. Sprechen sie Deutsch? Ya vol! Also, don't forget Trivia tonight at 7pm in the taproom. Located at: 623 N Denver Ave, Loveland, CO.

Loveland Aleworks is planning another tasty firkin release this Friday, June 17th. Plan to drop by for a glass of Mango IPA! Meanwhile, every Wednesday they help out a local non-profit by donating $1 from every pint sold from 6-11pm. This week's cause is the Rotary Satellite Club. Pardon their dust as they are working hard on the back patio getting it ready for their Fest of Ale on July 3rd (4th Anniversary party). Located at: 118 W 4th Street, Loveland, CO.

Loveland Craft Beer Passport - Fans of the 8 breweries in Loveland take note. You can now pick up a Craft Beer Passport from the Loveland Visitors Center, stop at each brewery in Loveland, get your passport stamped at each one and earn a cool logo glassware or t-shirt. Maxline Brewing is holding their Grand Opening this Saturday, June 18th from 5pm to 10pm in Fort Collins! They will begin pouring around 11am but the big party starts at 5pm. There will be love music, brewery tours, prizes, patio games, a BBQ, a Meet the Brewer session, and lots of fun. Take the MAX, ride your bike, or park in their spacious lot!. Dogs are welcome too. Odell Brewing Company is participating in the fever of Ride The Rockies. Weld County

Brix Taphouse & Brewery will host a special celebration this Wednesday June 15th from 7-9pm in honor of Great Divide Brewing Company's 22nd Anniversary. They will have 2 taps dedicated for some special GD beers plus cans of their new Denver Pale Ale. Don't forget to stop in and try Brix's own new Bikini Bottom Pineapple Wheat. Broken Plow Brewery is hosting their regular Music Mashup Monday - aka Music Trivia tonight in the taproom starting at 7pm. Grab a beer and listen up and test your musical memories. Then stop back on Tuesdays for $2 off all growler (64oz) and snarler (32oz) fills. Tuesdays are also Cribbage night from 6:30pm - 9pm and players get $4 pints. Crabtree Brewing Company now has Jeff's IPA back on tap after a successful Kill the Keg of their Serenity Amber over the weekend.
