[Northern Colorado Beer News] -The old saying goes - "Those who don't know what to get their Dad for Father's Day probably never stepped into a craft beer liquor store before". Hint - beer makes the perfect gift and there are at nearly 100 taprooms in Northern Colorado who will be more than happy to fill up a growler for you. So don't visit Dad empty handed this Sunday. There's plenty of tips on where to go this week to fill 'er up. Don't forget - Fort Collins Beer Week starts this Saturday June 18th. It all kicks off with the Brewers Olympics at Go West T-Shirt Company in FoCo.

12 Degree Brewing is turning 3! 12Degree Brewing, the 2016 World Beer Cup Champion Small Brewpub and Brewmaster, is having a big ‘ol party to celebrate their 3-Year Anniversary this Saturday, June 18th. The party runs from noon to ~11pm and they will be tapping four small-batch Farmhouse Ales and one kettle-soured ale throughout the day. The new beers will be tapped at 1:00, 3:00, 5:00, 7:00, and 8:00 and are: Pommy Dervish, a mild Brett Saison aged on Pomegranate, Wicked Blackberry, a wild Farmhouse ale aged on blackberries, Mowgli, a Cabernet barrel-aged Saison, One Night Stand, a classic Saison aged on Brett, and Pearanormal, a kettle-soured blond ale aged on pears. Treachery, their World Beer Cup Gold Medal winning Golden Strong Ale, will also be on tap, along with the rest of their current lineup (available at 12degree.com/beers). Raffles for prizes will be held at 2:00, 4:00, 6:00, and 8:00 and the phenom West African band, Paa Kow, will take the stage at 7:30. Located at: 820 Main Street, Louisville, CO.
Avery Brewing Company has released its tentative list of beers that will be available for this weekend's sold out SourFest 2016. There will be beers from over 35 different USA craft breweries including a couple dozen or more beers from around Northern Colorado. Boulder Beer will be pouring their Sweaty Betty Blonde Hefeweizen as well as their brand new summer seasonal: Pulp Fusion Blood Orange IPA. Plus, the countdown continues to their bit 37th Anniversary Celebration set for Saturday, July 16th from 12pm to 10pm. Gravity Brewing reminds you to get something ready for their upcoming potluck dinner on Monday night (June 20th). This week's theme is "Salad Bar". Left Hand Brewing Company continues their After Hour Series of music sessions this Saturday, June 18th featuring Bonnie and the Clydes from 9pm to 11:30pm. Odd13 Brewing tapped two new beers last night. The first is "Hop Troll Azacca", a hazy IPA featuring tropical fruit notes of mango & pineapple. Azacca hops give it hints of orange zest, peach and vanilla. The other beer is called "Ronnie P", a sour blonde ale with peach black tea and lemon zest. It was a sour ale inspired by an Arnold Palmer and goes well on hot days like today. Stop in and try one or both! Located at: 301 E Simpson Street, Lafayette, CO.
Oskar Blues Brewery gave a sneak peak at a new beer rolling off the canning line. Look for their new Passion Fruit Pinner Throwback IPA to hit stores by the end of June nationwide. They've added a dose of passion and citrus to this beer you might say. It's an easy drinking, low ABV (4.9% and 40 IBU) beer and highly refreshing.
