City Star Brewing - Mark this one on your calendars! City Star Brewing has brought a Berthoud annual tradition back to life in the upcoming Flap Jack Day where they will be giving away around 1,000 flap jacks, and raising funds for the Berthoud Historical Society. City Star’s 2nd Annual Flap Jack Day will be held on Labor Day, Monday, September 5th. Join in for FREE flap jacks, a flap jack themed beer flight, a vintage car show and the Flap Jack Queen contest. Fort Collins Brewery - FCB's pride and joy is being released today - Oktoberfest! This is their 2015 GABF Gold Medal winning beer and it's back for another season. They brewed this beer with 100% German ingredients. It's a beer meant to be savored and enjoyed near the end of the summer when the heat starts to subside and the cooler weather starts settling in. It's billed as a light, bready and highly drinkable brew. Weighs in at 7.5% ABV. Available now in 12oz 6-pack cans. They even have a special limited menu to go along with this beer. Funkwerks - Funkwerks welcomes back their Fall Seasonal - Solenna, a Belgian-style ale with Brettanomyces. It's a fruity beer with a subtle spice and has floral notes from the German hops. Jessup Farm Barrel House - There's two new beers debuting on tap this Saturday, August 13th starting at 11am. Stop in to try these new brews: Baron von Watermelon and Marquis de Mandarin. These are the sours you have been looking for! Session-able wheat beer with a clean, tart sour character. The wort was soured in the fermenter by Lactobacillus delbruekii before the primary fermentation was carried out by a blend of Belgian ale yeasts. Fruit was added at the end of primary fermentation, in the form of concentrated watermelon juice (the Baron) and a blend of whole mandarin puree and concentrated mango puree (the Marquis). High Hops Brewery - Today in the taproom, High Hops will be releasing their Frühling Bock starting at 12 noon. This is a Maibock style brew which is generally strong and golden in lager form. This beer weighs in at 8.5% ABV and was brewed along with an award-winning homebrewer David Kilits from the local Weize Guys Home Brew Club competition. Also, High Hops is putting out Dr. Pat's Double IPA #25 today. This batch of Double IPA was dry-hopped with Azacca hops for an intense tropical flavor with hints of citrus, mango and orchard fruit and a bit of forest pine as well. WeldWerks Brewing Company - Look what happens when you go through your inventory - sometimes you find a keg you never knew you had! WeldWerks found a keg of their Amore Achromatic Imperial Stout that originally was offered up for Valentine's Day. This brew was made with cacao nibs and raspberries and has been hidden away in the back of the cooler for months. It has aged VERY well! It's on tap today - just 1 keg so it'll go fast.
