[Northern Colorado Beer News] - At last it's Friday - TGIF! Big festivals happening this weekend, plus several new beers being tapped today across Northern Colorado. Summer is winding down but the beer keeps flowing. Here's what's happening around the Northern Colorado craft beer scene today, Friday, August 12th, 2016. Zwei Brewing - There's a big block party coming to Zwei Brewing on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 11am to 8pm. There will be live music from 2 bands, 2 food trucks, 2 separate bars pouring drinks, lots of Zwei beers and a big cake to celebrate their 2nd Anniversary. Meanwhile, they've got 5 Continental beers and 10 Indigenous beer on tap in the taproom this weekend. Located at: 4612 S Mason St, Ste 120, Fort Collins, CO.

12Degree Brewing - Today this brewery brought back a beer to the taps - "Space Kangaroo", a Belgian Pale ale made with a generous helping of Australian Galaxy Hops. 300 Suns Brewing - Attention - the date for their Hoplympics Summer Games has been changed! Due to multiple conflicts with other activities, they've move this event to a Wednesday night September 14th starting at 6:30pm. They have all new pricing and levels of participation. Sign up your team to compete online at: 100% of the participation fees go to Habitat for Humanity of St. Vrain Valley. Meanwhile tonight, come listen to Favin'Wolf playing the blues from 7pm to 9pm. Asher Brewing Company - Are you ready for some Cornhole? It's time for Asher Brewing's 3rd Annual Cornhole Tournament scheduled for Sunday, August 28th from 4pm to 8pm. Sign up your team in the taproom. Time to throw some bags! Located at: 4699 Nautilus Ct S, Ste 104, Boulder, CO.

Avery Brewing Company - New brewing vessels are coming! An order for 6 new brewing vessels just left the German manufacturer this week and are now slowly making their way to America by slow boat. Avery Brewing has been busy working on the new area where these tanks will be used. Once they arrive, Avery will be able to make even more beer for all you Avery fans. Expansion happens. Bootstrap Brewing Company - The place will be rocking this Saturday in the taproom. Come listen to North Boulder Underground as they return to the house starting at 6:00pm. Beer and music are the perfect combo. Located at: 6778 N 79th St, Niwot, CO.

Boulder Beer Company - It's almost time for Oktoberfest season! And because of that, Boulder Beer has been busy this week bottling up this year's batch of Dragonhosen Oktoberfest Lager. It's a rich, full-bodied malty brew that weighs in at a hefty 9% ABV. Look for this brew to hit store shelves very soon. Located at: 2880 Wilderness Pl, Boulder, CO.

Crystal Springs Brewing Company - This Saturday, August 13th from 1pm to 9pm marks the release party for CSBC's "13 IPA" in cans! There's just a limited supply of this special brew in cans so get them while they are in stock. There will be special prizes, food, Ray & Jessica's Vanilla Cream Ale and more. Fate Brewing Company - Remember that old Avery Brewing building over on Arapahoe in Boulder? Fate Brewing has been over there and has been cleaning up the old place and are getting ready to make some changes and updates. More news on the progress on this location coming soon.

Großen Bart Brewery - Now back on tap - their popular collaboration brew they did with Very Nice Brewing Company - it's their "Very Nice Großen Bart California Common Lager". It's also known as a steam beer. It weighs in at 5.9% ABV and 42 IBU. Try one as you listen to live music tonight from "Carry Me Ohio" from 7pm to 9pm in the taproom. J Wells Brewing - They're Back! Get some "Lisa Red IPA" and also "The Pleasant Gentleman IPA". Both are on tap starting tonight. Get hoppin! They also have test batches of "Bear Mountain Barleywine" and "Treppenwitz Hefeweizen" on tap as well. 2516 49th St, Ste 5, Boulder, CO.

Left Hand Brewing Company - On tap this weekend at the brewery Left Hand these tempting brews: Chile Heffe, Blood Orange IPA and an Imperial Oatmeal Mild. Try those or go for one of their regular year-rounders. Live music in the taproom Saturday from the Sean Flynn Trio starting at 5pm. Located at: 1265 Boston Ave, Longmont, CO.

Twisted Pine Brewing Company - Friday's special is All Day Happy Hour on Pitchers of Twisted Pine beer. Also tonight is live music from Augustus from 7pm to 9pm. Located at: 3201 Walnut St, Boulder, CO.

Upslope Brewing Company - Next up in their Tap Room Series of tall canned beer releases will be an Experimental Hop IPA that they collaborated with REEL ROCK Film Tour. This beer was made with an Idaho Experimental Hop #7. It'll be available at the release party on Tuesday, August 23rd in their Flatiron Park tap room. Located at: 1898 S Flatiron Ct, Boulder, CO.

Very Nice Brewing Company - There's a solid weekend of beers on tap and live music in Nederland. Tonight listen to Chris Smith from 6pm to 8pm. On Saturday, it's the sound of Maus Nomdeguerre from 6-8pm. Then on Sunday, they have The Snowbound Hounds playing from 5-7pm. Taprooms open til 9pm tonight. Wibby Brewing - Tonight enjoy live music from JC and The Deadly Sins from 8-11pm. Saturday's band is Stomp Street Heist playing from 8-11pm. Sunday brings an Open Cornhole Toss all day. They've got 7 sets set up for all to play on. Plenty of fresh beer on tap as well. Located at: 209 Emery St, Longmont, CO.

Wild Woods Brewery - Hey Boulder, today the brewery opened early at 3pm to be part of the first ever FAC at The Courtyard featuring live music by Sixty Minute Men from 4-7, delicious craft beers, live art, fresh pastries, open houses, & tasty food from Blackbelly. 1933 Brewing Company - Make plans to check out 1933's upcoming beer release next week when they tap their Mexican Lager. It'll remind you of a beach in Cancun - perfect for late summer sipping. Look for it the week of August 15th. Located at: 4025-C S. Mason, Fort Collins, CO.

Berthoud Brewing Company - Stop in for a Friday Afternoon Club session with the band "Cat Jerky" tonight at the taproom from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Good tunes and good beer with good friends. Located at: 450 8th St, Berthoud, CO.

City Star Brewing - Today's the day City Star starts brewing their first fresh hop beer of the season - "HydroPony Express HYPA". They used hydroponically grown Centennial and Chinook hops from their friends at Hydro Hop Farms in Fort Collins. This brew will hit the taps on Saturday, August 27th. Meanwhile, live music tonight from Honeytree from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. On Saturday, Jim Jamm Jimmy will be playing from 7pm to 9:30pm. Plenty of fresh beer on tap this weekend. Crow Hop Brewing Company - Today is the first annual release of their Road 23 Farmhouse Ale. This one is 6.3% ABV and 32 IBU and is billed as being spicy and fruity with a big finish of flavor from the yeast. Located at: 217 E 3rd St, Loveland, CO.

Equinox Brewing Company - Live music will fill the halls of Equinox Brewing this weekend starting off tonight with Ran Off the Rooster from 7pm to 9pm. Then on Saturday, come listen in to the Blind Alley Troubadours from 7pm to 9pm. Coming to the taps very soon look for Equinox's "What the Helles? Maibock" and also "Black Sheep Dark IPA". Located at: 133 Remington St, Fort Collins, CO.

Fort Collins Brewery - FCB has officially kicked off their Oktoberfest season with the recent release of their annual seasonal - "Oktoberfest". It's available in their tavern both on draft and in cans. Find Oktoberfest in cans at your local store starting this week. Located at: 1020 E Lincoln Ave, Fort Collins, CO.

Grimm Brothers Brewhouse - IPA's aren't the only thing with an Indian theme. Tonight Grimm Bros will tap an Indian-inspired firkin - a Coconut Curry Fearless Youth. It's another in their series of Indian-themed firkins. Try a glass tonight! Also, get ready for the annual release of The Farmer's Daughter Oktoberfest Marzen set for August 20th. High Hops Brewery - Just tapped last night was a double beer release. The first being "Dr. Pat's #25 Double IPA" and the second was "Frühling Bock Maibock". Live music tonight on the patio stage with Peter Jong Chang from 6pm to 8pm. Then on Saturday, listen to Roma Ransom from 5pm to 7pm. Then on Sunday afternoon, sip a beer along with the music of The Dale Cisek Duo from 3pm to 5pm. Located at: 6461 Hwy 392, Windsor, CO.

Horse & Dragon Brewing Company - New beer release today. Stop in for a taste of "Morgan's Savvy III Peach Pale Ale". This brew will likely be seen at the upcoming Peach Festival in FoCo this month too. Come taste one of the savviest peach ales around. Located at: 124 Racquette Dr, Fort Collins, CO.

Loveland Aleworks - On tap starting today is Loveland Aleworks' "Chocolate Oatmeal Stout". It's dark, it's creamy and it's good for what "ales" you. A pint is available for the asking (plus a price). Located: 118 W 4th St, Loveland, Co.

Odell Brewing Company - The tap room has over 20 beers on tap this weekend including 9 limited edition and pilot brews, and 3 seasonal beers including an Oktoberfest beer. Food truck tonight is Common-Link. Taproom open until 7pm tonight. Located at: 800 E Lincoln Ave, Fort Collins, CO.

Old Colorado Brewing Company - In additional to their line-up of beers tonight, Old Colorado has live music with Makenzie Willox and food available from The Rollin' Stone Pizzeria. Stop in tonight for a beer. Located at: 8121 S 1st St, Wellington, CO.

Rally King Brewing - Avoid the crowds of this weekend's NewWestFest and stop over to Rally King. THey have a new beer release today - a Watermelon Wheat starting at 6pm. Also, live acoustic cover music tonight starting at 6pm. Located at: 1624 S Lemay Ave, Unit 4, Fort Collins, CO.

Snowbank Brewing CO - Tonight at 5pm they'll be tapping their latest collaboration brew with Nuance Chocolate - it's a "Cocoa Cranknbrew" infused with fresh roasted cacao beans. Also, buy anything from tonight's food truck and you can get $1 off a flagship pint to pair it with. Located at: 225 N Lemay Ave, Ste 1, Fort Collins, CO.

Soul Squared Brewing Company - Looking for where you can buy a Soul Squared brew to take home? There's now two of their beers stocked over at Bullfrog Wine and Spirits on North College Ave in FoCo. They're stocking both their Belgian Blonde Ale and their Extra Pale Ale.

Brix Taphouse & Brewery - Hey Teachers! This is one of your last chances to unwind before the school season starts. Stop in today and teachers and staff get $1 off food and drink items from 5pm to 7pm. Crabtree Brewing Company - Just one more day until the release of a big, hazy, unfiltered and fresh Imperial Double IPA debuts at Crabtree. On Saturday, August 13th at 6pm they'll introduce and tap this brew that weighs in at 10.5% and 108 IBUs. Crabtree doesn't put out IPAs that often so grab some of this while it lasts. Also available in bottles too! Located at: 2961 W 29th St, Greeley, CO.

Grand Lake's 16th Street Tavern - The Friday special today and every Friday is when you can get $2 off Flights of Grand Lake beer. You can also pick up 6-packs of Grand Lake beer for just $8. Stop back Saturday night at 8pm for live music and a beer. Located at: 915 16th St, Greeley, CO.

WeldWerks Brewing Company - What goes great with a WeldWerks beer? How about a Mac N Cheese corn dog from Corndoggies. Their food truck will be parked outside at 4pm today. Live music tonight from Professor Fox Band at 7:30pm. If you're lucky, there may even be some of that Amore Achromatic Raspberry Imperial Stout left. Just 1 keg - it'll kick soon.
